Best Luggage Stores

Where can you find the best Luggage Stores? Whether you're looking for an all-in-one set for an upcoming international adventure or a sturdy duffel for a college student, you may have already experienced the frustration of trying to find the styles and brands you want at local retailers. Most big-box stores carry a very limited selection, and even specialty stores fail to meet the needs of every traveler.

It's no wonder that so many shoppers trust well-established online Luggage Stores to get what they need - in stock, priced competitively, and delivered right to their doorstep. What could be better than using an easy-to-shop site that makes it possible to see all of your options with just a few clicks?

Zappos

ZAPPOS

You might have heard about Zappo's as a great place to buy shoes, but did you know they're also an excellent option for Luggage? With an inventory of more than 1000 items from top brands, a 365-day return policy, and free shipping on every order, this online retailer is one of our favorite choices for buying Luggage.

Overstock

OVERSTOCK

Overstock may not specialize in Luggage, but their selection rivals even the most well-stocked specialty stores. Walmart

WALMART

Walmart offers what you would expect when it comes to buying Luggage: a broad selection of mostly lower-end products, low prices, and thousands of customer reviews on most items. You can also get higher-end bags, suitcases and more through their third-party Marketplace sellers. Just keep in mind that Walmart's 90-day return policy doesn't apply to those purchases.

Wayfair

WAYFAIR

Wayfair is usually one of our favorite shopping sites for "all things home". But, when it comes to Luggage, their product selection only includes duffel bags: no suitcases, carry-ons, or other items usually included in the category. Despite this retailer's easy-to-use website and customer perks, it's just not enough to make this a Luggage Store that will meet most shoppers' needs. Read More... Visit

Factory Outlet Store

FACTORY OUTLET STORE

If you like shopping at your local outlet mall, you might think that getting your luggage from an online shop called Factory Outlet Mall will be great for fun bargain hunting on designer items. Unfortunately, no. With this Luggage Store, your shopping experience is likely to be frustrating, between the limited selection and disappointing customer service. Some customers have even received obviously used (and not even refurbished) products. Although Factory Outlet Mall somehow had an "A+" rating with the BBB at the time of our review, our research showed that you'll do much better with a more reputable Luggage Store. Read More... Visit

Luggage Guy

LUGGAGE GUY

Luggage Guy says that they'll sell you designer luggage at the best prices, and you may be tempted by their free shipping offer on all orders. But, this Luggage Store has the worst selection of all the retailers we surveyed, and even the Better Business Bureau thinks these guys aren't even in operation anymore - despite an online store that is still set up to take orders. This is the lowest-ranked Luggage Store in our review.

Continued from above

Shopping for Luggage online eliminates the time-consuming hassle of driving from one store to another, the aggravation of not finding what you're looking for, and may even save you a considerable amount of money.

As you consider which Luggage Store to use for your next purchase, there are several criteria to keep in mind:

  • Selection. Does the retailer carry a wide range of brands, styles, and price points? Are most of the suitcases, carry-ons, and accessories listed as in stock?
  • Price. Are the prices competitive with other Luggage Stores'? Are there any promotions like free shipping or coupon codes, to save you even more?
  • Return Policy. If your Luggage arrives and you're not satisfied, can you return your purchase? If so, how long do you have to make the return, and will you get a full refund?
  • Reputation. What do other customers say about their experience with this retailer? Does the company have a good track record for keeping customers happy and handling any issues efficiently and professionally?

TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked the best Luggage Stores available today. We hope this information helps you select the right luggage for all of your future travel needs!

Choosing the Right Luggage

Historically, luggage consisted mainly of large trunks or bulky chests. Today, the term is readily used to describe a suitcase, garment bag, duffle and/or tote. A suitcase is commonly used for clothing to be worn throughout a lengthy trip, while a duffle or tote may be used as an overnight bag for very short times away from home.

When it comes to traveling with your luggage, having the right products may mean the difference in having a memorable trip and one that you would rather forget. The right luggage will provide you with organization, plenty of room and a few spare compartments for all of the little souvenirs that you pick up during your travels. Above all, the best luggage will be selected after first determining how you intend to use it. What size will you need and what is the anticipated length of your trip(s)? The answers to both of these questions will help with your decision and will ensure that your luggage will be a perfect fit.

If you are like most, you are probably upgrading to a new luggage set. Perhaps you have an older suitcase and need a new product with more space or maybe your current set is simply beginning to show its age. Whatever the reason, choosing the size for your new suitcase can simply be done by measuring the inside of your old one and then deciding whether or not you need the same size or one featuring a smaller or larger interior. With the accurate measurements, you will be able to narrow your choices down to only those that are available in the size that you need. The basic recommendation is that a suitcase should accommodate enough clothes to get you through your trip. The longer the trip, the larger the luggage.

Hard-sided suitcases are stain resistant, stronger than soft-sided luggage and can be used to protect fragile items. These types of suitcases typically feature wheels for easy transport and a pull bar. Semi-soft sided suitcases offer a sturdy frame and flexible interior, which is ideal if you tend to pack a bulging suitcase. These, too, commonly feature wheels and a pull bar for easy transport. Soft-sided suitcases are ideal for public transportation because they are lightweight and can be squeezed into small spaces.

Before you begin to shop, take a moment to think about how often your luggage will be used, what type of trips will be taken, the length of time you will be spending away from home and which items will be accompanying you on your travels.

Most quality luggage pieces will feature multiple compartments, which will make for easy storage. If you are traveling and are limited in the amount of space that you have for luggage, having extra compartments will be ideal. If you are looking for matched sets, most top luggage manufacturers, including American Tourister and Samsonite, offer a full product line of quality pieces in matching designs. Whether your choice is classic solids or you like a splash of color in your luggage, there is no shortage of choices.
