MY U.S. POSTBOX

My US PostBox, similar to other providers, offers three different level of services dependant on your needs. However, be careful - the nickel-and-dime fees really add up with this provider. My US PostBox does allow for monthly billing on their mall scanning and forwarding services and requires at least a 6 month contract.

Mail is held in water and fireproof safe storage to best protect from damage. Customers receive an email notification whenever new mail arrives. You would then simply sign into your account at My US PostBox and determine what action you want to take. My US PostBox provides the postmark date, the date received, and the sender information. You may then choose one of the following actions:

  • Have the item mailed to you
  • Have contents scanned
  • Request a translation to your language
  • Pick up your mail
  • Have the mail discarded

Scanning takes two additional days for completion. If you request to have items mailed you may create a bundle of mail to have sent to you as soon as you like. This reduces overall mail handling and delivery charges.

The total cost of the forwarded mail charges is payable in advanced. Forwarding mail to addresses within the USA cost $15.00 per each mailing. We found this overly expensive compared to some of the other providers. My U.S. PostBox also charges a .50 shredding cost per piece.

Hold All Mail (HAM) is a service provided my My U.S PostBox developed to satisfy the needs of individuals who require a U.S. address. However, My US PostBox does not offer check deposits.

Overall, we felt that My US PostBox offered a number of valuable services but we had concern with the fee structure and the extra costs associated with shredding mail and going over the limit within the plan.

Mail Scanning Services

To help you find the Best Mail Scanning Services, TopConsumerReviews.com provides you with an in-depth My U.S. Postbox Review.

Are you struggling with effectively managing your personal or professional mail? Whether you are living abroad or RV'ing across the country, or work in a company with large mail volume but little staff to handle it, mail management can be a constant battle.

The latest trend in mail services allows anyone to manage their mail through the internet. But what does that mean? First, you tell the US Post Office to deliver your mail to a service provider (using a Form 1583). Next, you notify mail senders of your new address. Finally, from a PC connected to the internet, you can read your mail online, print it if needed, shred it, recycle it, or forward the actual mail to any physical address.

There are a number of companies that provide mail scanning services, and the range of what they provide and their focus can vary greatly. Some service providers offer flat rate fees for scanning, and others charge per page. It's important to fully understand what each provider charges. Changing companies and addresses can be a time consuming effort - you want to get it right the first time!

Some of the important aspects to consider before making a decision include:

  • Fees. Is their a flat rate fee, and what does that include.
  • Scope of Services. Do you need checks automatically deposited and mail forwarded on a pre-set basis?
  • Customer service. Is anyone going to be around to assist if you have a mail emergency?

TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked the best Mail Scanning services available today. We hope this information helps you find the right mail scanning provider that meets your needs!
