Maximum Paid Surveys has a huge database of over 760 companies ready to pay you for your opinion. This is comprised of over 510 paid survey companies and over 250 mystery shopping companies - and updates are consistently added on a weekly basis. Companies are sorted to make your selection of opportunities maximized - with the best paying companies listed first. Step-by-step guides are also provided to help ensure your success.
The paid survey programs pay between $5-$75 per survey, focus groups make $20-$250 per group and phone surveys are paid $40-$120 an hour. In their mystery shopping area, Maximum Paid Surveys shows how and where you can get paid to shop at stores, restaurants, movie theaters and amusement parks.
Customer service is provided via email and responses are usually delivered within 24 hours. The FAQ section of the website is very well organized and sure to answer most of your questions.
Membership for access to both paid survey and mystery shopper databases is a one-time fee of $39.95. This also includes a myriad of free bonuses such as a list of data entry jobs, merchandizing jobs, instant cash bonuses, getting paid to drive your car, and getting paid to surf the web. Another unique offering of Maximum Paid Surveys is a work at home blog on their website. Within this blog they post additional opportunities for various parts of the country. This is a feature not seen on the other paid survey websites that we reviewed.
Hands down, Maximum Paid Surveys provides the largest database of paid survey companies available. With a focus on their subscribers, constant updates to their jobs database, and the unexpected bonus of 250+ mystery shopping opportunities, Maximum Paid Surveys earns our highest rating.
This site describes their program and benefits in a no-nonsense fashion. If you're expecting a lot of fluff or a hard-sell attitude, you'd better look elsewhere. On the other hand, if you want to quickly see what a program offers, this site will appeal to you.
Paid Surveys at Home delivers 5 basic ways to make money; take online surveys ($5-$75), online focus groups ($50-$150), phone surveys (up to $120 an hour), trying new products (and get to keep them), and previewing movie trailers ($4-$25). Convincing testimonials are sprinkled throughout to help the skeptic.
The site is set up with an informational home page, a FAQ page, Contact information and a member log in section. The FAQ page is very concise answering the top 8 questions that immediately come to mind. Contact with the company is through email only but you can route your inquiry to a particular department to get a faster response. The lifetime membership fee is $39.95 for access to over 450 companies. Plus your membership comes with free bonuses valued at over $100.
This site would benefit from a better FAQ page, an income calculator seen on a few other survey sites, and more job offerings. Still, Paid Surveys At Home is an easy to use, professional site that delivers what they promise.
Survey Den gives members access to an unspecified number of companies looking for individuals to fill out surveys, for a one-time membership fee of $34.95. According to their website, members can make anywhere from $5 to $175 per hour taking surveys online, up to $150 an hour participating in online focus groups, and up to $120 an hour for taking surveys over the phone. This seems to be in line with what other online paid surveys are advertising.
The website is easy to use; prospective members can navigate among tabs that teach them how to get paid to play video games, to drive, to shop, or even to read, along with the survey opportunities. The order form is straightforward as well.
We appreciate that Survey Den offers a full refund within the first 60 days of membership, making it less risky for new users to give the service a try and determine if it truly delivers on its promises. We like the user testimonials at the bottom of the site, but the stock photography image on one entry raises some questions about their authenticity. We would like to see independent reviews from satisfied users elsewhere online, but at the time of this review there were none available when we searched.
For these reasons, we give Survey Den 3 stars; with further evidence of member satisfaction, their rating would easily increase higher.
New Edge Surveys advertises that for a one-time fee of $49.95, members gain access to companies who are willing to pay them thousands of dollars to fill out surveys. This subscription price is higher than many similar paid survey companies, but it does come with the same 8-week money-back guarantee commonly offered.
Our experience with New Edge Surveys left us scratching our heads. Prominently featured at the top of the site is an image announcing the site's "New 2010 Program". Given that the date was more than five years ago, we failed to be impressed. Also, the site gives no immediate indication as to how many companies are accessed through site membership or any way of gauging how much money could be made on a regular basis; specific dollar amounts were only found by clicking on the "learn more" button under the "risk-free trial" section, which was not very intuitively located.
While New Edge Surveys doesn't seem to be plagued by the misinformation found on a few other paid survey sites, it also doesn't give much indicator as to the effectiveness of their membership or database: no user testimonials, no specific number or even approximation of how many companies are in their survey database, and so forth. For these reasons, we can only give New Edge Surveys two stars in the Paid Surveys category.
Gold Opinions states that its members get access to a wide database of make-money-from home opportunities, from surveys to focus panels, gadget reviews and product testing, along with free trials and other goodies from corporate partners. They offer a 60-day money back guarantee, no questions asked.
The site is unclear as to what happens after the $1 one-week trial period. In one place on the site, it references a monthly membership, while in others it describes a flat fee. There's a large difference between a $27 one-time fee and a $27 monthly fee; we suppose it to be the former, which would be in line with most other online survey companies.
Where our concerns arise is in the testimonials on the site. When doing a Google search for the images of the members shown on the site, most of them come up as individuals other than the ones named. For example, the very first testimonial is attributed to a Gold Opinions member in Los Angeles, but the picture was from a news article in the UK about a man with a different name.
Another testimonial attributed to a UK man was accompanied by a photo of an entrepreneur by another name, while a third photo was taken from a "mommy blogger" in the US but labeled as someone else from Australia. With such discrepancies in the "testimonials", it makes it questionable if the entire site is trustworthy. Also, Gold Opinions was not found on Entrepreneur.com or Working Mother during a subsequent Google search, despite both being prominently featured on the site with the heading "As seen on"
Given the unclear pricing and the glaring issues regarding member testimonials, we are unable to give Gold Opinions more than one star.
Many people have discovered a simple way to earn extra income while working from home. These people make money by completing surveys on the internet. While not a get-rich-quick scheme, you can still reasonably make $100, $200, even $1,000 or more each month by giving your opinion, trying new products, watching movie trailers, and more.
There are dozens - maybe hundreds - of programs offering paid surveys online. While many of these programs give you a legitimate way to make a lot of money working from home, unfortunately there are a number of them that are nothing more than paid survey scams. Once they lure you into signing up for their service, you discover that their benefits are tied to a credit card you must purchase or promotional materials that have no real cash value.
When looking at different paid survey programs, you want to be sure you signup with a paid survey company where you can earn real cash. There are certain factors you need to consider; some of these include:
TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked the best paid surveys available today. We hope this information helps you earn some extra income right away!
How Paid Surveys Work
Paid surveys are designed to gather opinions and information from an individual and, in turn, offer a financial reward to those who are willing to take the time to complete the survey. Companies who want to improve their marketing strategy and/or product are the most likely candidates to offer a legitimate paid surveys work at home opportunity.
When it comes to online surveys, the best opportunities are those that use demographics to select their participants. This means that many paid surveys require the participant to first answer a series of pre-survey questions to ensure that they are a good fit for the program. If an individual is selected to participate in the actual survey based on the answers they provide, they will be compensated according to the terms of the program.
Online surveys are one of the simplest ways to earn money online because companies are always conducting marketing research. What this means for those who participate in paid surveys is a consistent stream of opportunities for sharing their likes and dislikes. Basically, you can use online surveys to get paid for your opinions.
As with any online work at home venture, there are both legitimate opportunities and there are those that are nothing more than a scam. It's always important to know how to recognize these as every company will sound legitimate at first glance. When it comes to online surveys, there are two types of scams. The first type involves collecting money for a subscription and then providing outdated information or, in the second type, some companies may simply take your money and run.
So, how can you spot the difference between a genuine opportunity in online surveys and those that are not worth your time? You may be surprised to learn that it's not as difficult as you may think. The best way to compare online surveys is to read product reviews and ratings from a trusted resource, which can provide you with some early insight and help you choose the best way for you to earn money from home in your spare time. Just like online auction feedback and retail product reviews, it's essential that you take the time to read reviews relating to online surveys. Once you become familiar with experiences that others have undergone with a specific company, you will be better able to choose the right option to help you earn money from home.
If you still wish to conduct some independent research, you can check with the Better Business Bureau and find out if the paid surveys opportunity that you are considering has received any complaints from other consumers. Once you are ready to start working with online surveys, be sure to read the terms or agreement associated with the survey and look for information relating to payment. Because each paid surveys program is different, payment schedules will also differ.
