In each of the lessons, Gayle Levee teaches you the painting concepts in detail, with plenty of time to practice them together. We liked the pace of the training and the specific techniques she taught to allow you to paint anything you like in the future - not just specific objects.

The return policy for this product is more limited than the lessons. Essentially the only return policy they have is if you receive a faulty DVD they will immediately replace them.
While we liked the approach the training provided and the instructor, we felt the training provided was not as extensive or impressive as the higher ranked product. For the cost of this set you will learn many of the basics but not to the extent of the higher ranked product. The website was also lacking some information but we felt assured this was a real company, with a customer service number and not a fly-by-night operation.
Darrell Crow is a non traditional artist and instructor. At the age of 43 he decided to take a see-it-to-believe it 5 hour painting class. Amazed with his results he became more interested in painting and later developed this training course. Apparently an entrepreneur at heart this training course is expensive and not just a little. The training is geared for the beginner or more advanced artist.
For $99.95 you will receive a set of 9 DVD's that includes 20 hours of step-by-step instruction on learning the basics of oil painting both landscapes and seascapes. You will also learn to oil paint skies, clouds, mountains, water, trees, and a number of out door objects.
Should you want more training make sure you get out your wallet. This course nickels and dimes you into buying more very specific course instruction for different paint types and sceneries. However, on the flip side, if you only want to learn to draw a bald eagle you have come to the right place. For $24.95 you can learn to draw just that one object given the techniques he teaches in that one video.
In the event that you are not satisfied with your purchase no refund policy exists - we found this concerning and unfortunate.
In the end, we felt this DVD set was geared toward teaching how to draw specifics objects and less so the necessary techniques. With no return policy and the expensive additional courses we felt you'd get more for your money buying a higher ranked product.
