Pet Meds are becoming an increasingly important part of a pet owner's life. Does your dog bound around the backyard like Tigger? Does your cat love to curl up on the table in a patch of sun? No matter what type of animal you have, pets are a part of the family. Therefore, caring for them is a top-priority.

Unfortunately, when your pet gets sick, purchasing pet meds from a veterinarian can get incredibly pricey. Additionally, preventative pet meds such as heartworm pills can cost you hundreds of dollars - especially if you have more than one pet in your household.

Return Policy

Vet Approved RX was founded by Dr. Barry Miller, a veterinarian with almost two decades of experience. He started the pet meds site in order to support his customers' relationships with their veterinarians, helping maintain that crucial link between owner and vet by providing medications with an experienced touch.

Using the site is easy: click on the links at the top of the page to choose medications for dogs, cats, or horses, or type in the name of the medication you're looking for. In that same top navigation, you'll also find a helpful guide to pet symptoms and educational articles.

The only drawback is that Vet Approved RX will probably not be a one-stop-shop if you're looking for anything other than medication: we didn't find any pet beds, toys, or other supplies you may need. Also, their selection is limited to cats, dogs, and horses, so if you've got a parrot or bearded dragon, you may need to consider another retailer.

We were surprised to see how competitive the prices are at Vet Approved RX. Their everyday pricing is lower than their competitors' sale/discount code prices on all of the medications we looked for. And, similar to most of the pet meds stores out there, shipping is free on orders over $49.

We were also pleased to see that Vet Approved RX is an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau and had an A+ rating at the time of our review. Customers rave about excellent service received from company representatives, fast delivery, and fantastic prices on their pet meds.

Although it's not a big name like some of the retailers we rated, Vet Approved RX is definitely worth considering for your pet meds purchase if you want personable service and low prices.

If you are looking for wild animal pet supplies, then Jeffers is the website for you. They are the only company we found that offers items for lions, tigers, bears, and monkeys. If you don't have a zoo in your backyard, Jeffers also offers a large variety of everyday products for domesticated animals.

Unlike other pet med stores, however, Jeffers is not a licensed pharmacy and cannot fill prescriptions. They do offer brand name pet meds, but their product offerings are limited. Additionally, the website, though filled with information, is hard to navigate - especially if you're not sure what exactly you're looking for. However, you might be able to find answers to some of your questions through their live chat option.

Before placing an order with Jeffers, you must provide your e-mail information. This enables Jeffers to save your purchase history and send you periodic newsletters. To cancel your newsletter subscription, you must go through their website and opt out of this service, which can be frustrating.

Overall, the website is very busy. While it is full of information and products, the website is difficult to navigate, and the average pet owner might find it hard to locate the items they are looking for. Jeffers' pet med selection is limited, and prescriptions are not offered. Therefore, we recommend first trying one of the higher-rated companies.

Fortunately, there are a number of online stores that cater to our beloved pets. These pet meds retailers are wonderful places to find pet medications, flea products, prescriptions, heartworm pills, and even pet vaccinations at a fraction of what you'd pay at your local vet office. Conveniently, many of these retailers also provide pet toys, food, bedding, grooming supplies, and even outerwear for your animals.

With shipping specials, repeat order incentives, and automatic delivery, online pet meds stores can make caring for your pet much more affordable. Whether you have a dog, cat, bird, fish, horse, or even a more exotic pet, you can order the items you need and have them shipped directly to your door at a significant cost savings.

When looking at different pet meds retailers, there are certain factors you need to consider. Some of these include:

  • Selection. Does the online store provide pet meds for your particular animal? Does the website provide prescription medications and vaccines?
  • Ease of Use. Is the website easy to navigate? Can you find the pet meds that you're looking for without wasting a lot of time?
  • Return Policy. Can you return the pet meds you ordered if you've changed your mind or the prescription has changed? Are there any limitations on product returns or exchanges?

TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked the best pet med stores available today. We hope these reviews help you find the bet pet pet medications to keep your pet healthy and happy!
