Join a Popcorn Club with Amazing Clubs Today! Where can you find the best Popcorn Clubs? If you - or someone you love! - is a fan of the white, fluffy goodness that is popcorn, what better than to have it delivered right to the home or office on the regular? Because really, the stuff you get at the theater is usually way too salty, dripping with fake butter, and definitely doesn't taste good after a day of sitting in the bucket. And, what you can buy at your local supermarket has probably been sitting on a shelf for so long, there's no way that it's going to be fresh. Right?

Popcorn Clubs take this treat to a whole other level of deliciousness. Did you know that cheddar and caramel are not the only two flavor options out there? Start shopping around and comparing monthly subscription plans, and soon you'll discover that there are artisans crafting crazy flavors like Dill Pickle, Mango Habanero, and holiday-specific tastes like Cranberry and Winter Spice.

Cost:

Starting from $89.99 for a 3-month plan ($30/month)

Gourmet Gift Baskets was founded in 2002 and offers a range of gifts featuring "exceptional gourmet ingredients handcrafted with care". Although the site doesn't specify who's responsible for their Popcorn Club, the product page says that the popcorn is handmade daily by a woman-owned family business.

Each delivery in the Popcorn Club includes a 1-gallon tin with a single flavor of popcorn. Past flavors have included Mint Cookie Mayhem, Nacho Cheese, and Caramel Apple, to name a few.

You've got four delivery options with Gourmet Gift Baskets' Popcorn Club: 3 months, 6 months, 9 months or 12 months. Prices range from $89.99 to $229.99, averaging out to be a monthly cost from just over $19 to just under $30. Shipping fees are included in those prices.

You can also spread your membership plan out so that deliveries come every other month: select that under the Frequency drop-down. And, as with most Popcorn Clubs, you can specify when you'd like deliveries to start; Gourmet Gift Baskets is the only company we found that lets you select a date as far into the future as 18 months from the date of your order!

The company enjoys a strong overall reputation across all of the gift baskets and other products they sell: over more than 1400 customer reviews, more than 90% gave Gourmet Gift Baskets a 4- or 5-star rating. But, the customer feedback specific to the Popcorn Club was pretty sparse: there were no reviews on the product page itself, so it's hard to know what people think about the freshness and flavor of the popcorn.

We also weren't super impressed by Gourmet Gift Baskets' satisfaction guarantee - or lack thereof. While they have a refund policy, it only talks about products that arrive damaged. What if your caramel popcorn arrives in September and you live somewhere hot...and everything is a sticky, lumpy mess after sitting on your porch after delivery? There's nothing that says you'll be able to get a refund or replacement. If the company would indeed send you a new package or give you a credit, they should definitely say so on their website.

Because this is the most expensive of all the Popcorn Clubs we evaluated, we were expecting a little more for the money. But, compared with our highest-ranked retailer, Gourmet Gift Baskets comes up short in several ways: cost, amount of popcorn you get for the money, and a lack of variety in each monthly delivery. Plus, with no solid customer satisfaction guarantee, you may receive better service from one of the Popcorn Clubs that promises to make it right if you're unhappy for any reason. For these reasons, Gourmet Gift Baskets' Popcorn Club is the lowest-ranked in our review.

As a gift-giving option, Popcorn Clubs make it easy to really "wow" your lucky recipient. Most plans let you choose how many deliveries you'd like to buy, usually ranging from a single month to once a month for a full year. Some even let you stagger the shipments, bringing freshly-crafted popcorn once per season. The best clubs let your recipient preview what will be coming in their upcoming deliveries, so that they can skip a month if a flavor isn't their favorite or if they're going to be out of town.

Of course, no two Popcorn Clubs are alike, so it's worth doing a little bit of research before you select the one for your next monthly subscription. Want the inside scoop on picking the right one for you? Here's a helpful list of criteria that can help you find the perfect one for you or the person you're gifting:

  • Amount. How much popcorn will you get in each delivery? Some Popcorn Clubs include a whopping two gallons of product, while others are just enough for a few handfuls.
  • Variety. Do you want more than one flavor in each package? Do you prefer more run-of-the-mill flavors, really wild ones, or maybe a little of both? Does the company let you specify a taste preference, or swap flavors if one isn't quite your favorite?
  • Cost. What will you pay for your subscription? Are shipping costs included in the monthly price? Do you get a good value for your money?
  • Customer Service. What do people say about the Popcorn Club? Is there a good refund policy or satisfaction guarantee if your popcorn doesn't arrive in great condition or even if you just don't like something you receive?

TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked the best Popcorn Clubs available today. We hope this information helps you find the perfect tasty treat for your next gift-giving occasion - or just for your upcoming movie nights at home!
