TopConsumerReviews.com Best-In-Class Blue Ribbon Award Best Buy has a solid reputation for the latest in electronics and appliances. They are accredited with the Better Business Bureau and have an A+ rating. Their website is a breeze to shop at, and from start to finish, you'll find excellent pricing.

If you're looking for the best deal across the board, chances are you'll find it at Best Buy. Not only are their refrigerators priced competitively, the warranty, delivery charge, haul away and hookup fees lead the pack in affordability.

Comparison Model: Black Stainless Steel 24.5 Cubic Side by Side Samsung Refrigerator

  • Price: $999
  • 3 Year Warranty: $79.99
  • Haul Away Old Appliance: $14.99
  • Required Water Line Part: $ 29.99
  • Delivery Cost: Free if over $399
  • Earliest Delivery: 2 Days
  • Hook-up: Free

Regarding customer service, Best Buy has a convenient helpline at 1-888-BEST-BUY. Customer discount options available at Best Buy include:

  • Best Buy credit card perks
  • Special offers
  • Price match guarantee

We were very pleased to know that Best Buy has a rewards program, offering such benefits as an extended return period, access to special promotions, and free shipping based on how many purchases one makes throughout one year. You may also have free service set-up from Best Buy's Geek Squad.

One thing that sets this website apart from other online stores is how the refrigerators are sorted:

  • Size/Measurements
  • Price range
  • Customer rating
  • Current Deals
  • Look
  • Brand
  • Features
  • Innovations
  • Packages

This list demonstrates Best Buy's years of experience dealing with a variety of online shoppers. The site even narrows choices down to the number and style of refrigerator doors a customer might want. Also, we were impressed by the ease of choosing what each customer might need for their particular appliance. For example, if you purchased a refrigerator with an ice maker but do not currently have a water line available, Best Buy has the price listed clearly in the check-out options.

With their A+ BBB rating, excellent shopping experience, and amazing pricing, Best Buy earns top marks. They provide shoppers the best overall deal, and stand behind their products. They earn our highest rating for the best refrigeratoor store.

Sears

SEARS Visit Site

Sears is the oldest retail company in this review. With over 100 years of experience, it is evident from their organized online presence that they understand what shoppers need to make their decision. At the time of this review, they held an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau but were involved in a class action lawsuit regarding pricing.

Comparison Model: Black Stainless Steel 24.7 (slightly larger model) Cubic Side by Side Samsung Refrigerator

  • Price: $2065
  • 3 Year Warranty: $399.99
  • Haul Away Old Appliance: $25
  • Required Water Line Part: $ 10.98
  • Delivery Cost: Free if over $399
  • Earliest Delivery: 3 Days
  • Hook-up: Free

The online extension of the store provides several options to help customers customize their search. One can narrow their choice down by choosing any of the following categories:

  • Type
  • Color
  • Size
  • Brand
  • Depth
  • Unique features
  • Discounts
  • Current offers
  • New arrivals

We recommend clicking on the "Save" icon to find coupons and other special deals. Customers who purchase anything over $49 receive free shipping.

Regarding customer service, Sears does allow online purchases to be returned at stores. The return request can be processed online. Sears offers a store credit card for qualifying patrons, which can be used to purchase that new refrigerator.

As with other larger retail chains, we did find a high number of complaints against Sears. While we were happy to see they had a high rating with the BBB, we learned about their pending lawsuit for misleading prices. Overall, we would love to give Sears a higher rating because we did enjoy shopping on the site and historically they've been committed to the customer. However, with the pending lawsuit and more expensive pricing they didn't fare as well.

If you've ever shopped for appliances, you already know that there is more to buying a new refrigerator than just picking one out. You must consider the size and look of the fridge. Once you make those decisions, the real work begins. We discovered important criteria all consumers should consider when purchasing a new fridge:

  • Cost. Are there discounts or special offers, purchasing options, or packages available?
  • Speed. If your refrigerator has quit working who can get you a new one the fastest?
  • Selection. What does the store have that's ready for delivery?
  • Customer Service. Are there delivery fees? What is the return policy?
  • Delivery and Installation. Will you be left to move and connect your new refrigerator or does the company do it for you?

TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked the best refrigerator stores available today. We hope this information helps you find the best refrigerator to meet your needs!
