ThyroSoothe

Cost:

1 bottle - $39.95

Buy 2 Get 1 Free (mix-and-match)

If you struggle with the symptoms of a hyperactive thyroid, ThyroSoothe may be one of the only products on the market designed specifically for you. Offered by Native Remedies, a well-established leader among retailers of all-natural products, this thyroid support supplement calms the thyroid gland and stabilizes TSH and T4 hormone levels:

3 main ingredients

There are 3 main ingredients in ThyroSoothe:

  • Bugleweed: shown in studies to decrease TSH and impair thyroid hormone synthesis
  • Lemon Balm: an herb known for relaxing, calming properties
  • Motherwort: acts as a diuretic and improves blood circulation

Liquid dosage

ThyroSoothe is administered in liquid form, diluting 0.5mL in a small amount of water or juice three times per day, for users ages 12+. This product is also safe for children ages 6-11, taken as one drop per year of age, also three times per day. That means that one bottle of ThyroSoothe should last approximately 40 days when administered at full strength, or longer for younger users.

Discounts available

At $39.95 per bottle, that makes this thyroid support remedy more expensive than most. The good thing is that there's almost always a discount or sale available when shopping at Native Remedies. You'll always want to look for pop-ups; during our last shopping trip, we got an offer of free shipping and discounts up to 40% if we subscribed to their email newsletter (first-time subscribers only). At the top of the site, we also saw an offer with expedited shipping and a 10% discount if our order was $80+.

Savings on more than 1 bottle

Finally, most of the supplements sold by Native Remedies, including ThyroSoothe, come with a Buy 2 Get 1 Free offer - and it's mix-and-match. So, you could stock up on your thyroid supplements for other health needs while saving some money. Last of all, ThyroSoothe and most other products can be set up to be delivered automatically on the schedule you prefer: not only are you making sure you never run out of product, but you're also saving 15% and getting free shipping on every shipment.

Hyperthyroid only

Because ThyroSoothe is designed for people with hyperthyroidism, it should go without saying that you shouldn't use this supplement if you have an underactive thyroid. Native Remedies also points out that using this product for Grave's disease or severe hyperthyroidism isn't recommended, and that you shouldn't use ThyroSoothe with other thyroid medications without input from your physician.

1 year satisfaction guarantee

There are two major reasons to try ThyroSoothe. First, it gets high marks from users who say that they've seen improvements in their sleep patterns, blood test results, mood and hot flashes. You can see customer reviews on the Native Remedies site. Second, Native Remedies backs this and every supplement they sell with an incomparable one-year satisfaction guarantee. If you try ThyroSoothe for at least 30 days and don't see results, you can get a full refund even if you've used up the entire bottle. Just return any bottles, used or unused, to Native Remedies and get your money back. That alone makes their products worth trying, because it's literally risk-free.

Great choice for certain people

ThyroSoothe isn't appropriate for everyone with thyroid issues, and it does cost more initially than many other thyroid support products. But, this supplement is an excellent choice for people with hyperthyroidism, and Native Remedies gives you plenty of ways to save money on your purchase and get a refund if it doesn't meet your expectations.

Thyromine

Cost:

1 bottle - $39.95 plus $6.95 shipping

3 bottles - $79.90, free shipping (save $39.96)

5 bottles - $119.85, free shipping (save $47.94)

Thyromine is designed to help you have healthy thyroid function and a better metabolism. According to their product page, this supplement contains herbs and minerals to support optimal thyroid function.

What are the ingredients?

Which ingredients are those? You won't find that information on the Thyromine website. The most you'll discover is that it shouldn't be used by anyone under the age of 18, or by those who are suffering from several conditions (such as high blood pressure, kidney or liver disease, or any psychiatric diagnosis). You can't even see a product label.

What's the dosage?

How much Thyromine do you need to take for optimal health? Great question. But you won't find an answer for that on their product website either: look in the FAQ and you'll see that you'll have to wait until you receive your shipment to read the recommended dosage. That sounds pretty scary to us!

Return policy issues

Plus, returns are only accepted on unopened products within 90 days. So, if you try Thyromine and have a bad reaction or simply don't get the results you expected, you'll only get money back on the bottles you didn't use. Add that to nonrefundable shipping costs and a $6 per item return processing/restocking fee, and you'll soon see it's not worth it to attempt a refund. They're probably counting on that, given that their link to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) takes you to a third-party site with even more hoops to jump through - and where they say your return processing fee is $10, not $6.

Where are they?

Thyromine is one of many health products offered by parent company Buy Health (alternately - and not creatively - also known as Health Buy). Given what you've already read about Thyromine, you probably won't be surprised to learn that Buy Health has an "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau. The company's listing there has a US address, which doesn't even come close to matching up with the Delaware area code phone number or the international address in Cyprus listed on the Thyromine website.

Disappointing overall

So, let's summarize: send at least $35 off to a company that promises to support your thyroid health, without telling you what's in the product or how much you'll need to take, and forget about trying to get a refund if it arrives and you are allergic to one of the mystery ingredients. Make a phone call which could be directed to California, Maryland, Cyprus, or some other unknown destination - if anyone even answers the phone. Sounds like a losing proposition all the way around. For all of these reasons, Thyromine is our lowest-ranked thyroid health supplement, and we strongly encourage you to consider the more reputable products in our review.

Continued from above

What happens when the thyroid gland is under- or overactive? Some common symptoms are mood swings, constipation, slow metabolism and/or weight gain, fatigue, temperature sensitivity, and more. With today's busy lifestyles, who can afford to be operating at anything less than full power?

In an ideal world, you could eliminate all of the potential causes of poor thyroid function and return quickly to wellness. These causes can include stress, genetic predisposition to thyroid problems, less-than-healthy eating habits (including yo-yo dieting), even environmental pollution. But, realistically, many of those factors are beyond your control.

The good news is that there are many supplements available over-the-counter that offer thyroid support. These products tend to address thyroid health by providing an abundance of nutrients that have been shown to reduce symptoms and improve overall thyroid function. But, as with most products, your results may vary - and it can take some trial-and-error to find the product that works best for your body.

So, when considering all of the thyroid supplements on the market, how can you decide which one to try? Here are several criteria that may help you find the right thyroid support:

  • Ingredients. What combination of vitamins, minerals, and/or herbal extracts are used to deliver improved thyroid health? How do they work to decrease your symptoms or increase thyroid function? Be sure that none of the ingredients interact with other medications or supplements you may be taking.
  • Method of Use. Some thyroid supplements come in traditional tablets or capsules, while others can be mixed in with your favorite drink or plain water. Choose a thyroid supplement that is administered in a way you can tolerate easily.
  • Cost. How much will you spend per month? Pay close attention to dosage details, because some supplements may need to be used more frequently in the beginning - so a one-month supply may actually not last the full 30 days. Are you getting a good value for what you'll pay?
  • Effectiveness. What do other users say about their experience when using the thyroid product? How soon can you expect to see results?
  • Satisfaction Guarantee. It may take a few tries to find the thyroid health product that works for you. Choosing one that has a generous refund policy can help make the process less costly in the long run.
