Cost:

1 bottle - $39.95

Buy 2 Get 1 Free (mix-and-match)

Thyroid Assist is a 100% herbal formula that targets fatigue and low energy commonly experienced by individuals with thyroid concerns.

3 ingredients

There are only three ingredients in this product:

  • Bladderwrack Thallus: a sea vegetable that's been used for thousands of years, particularly in traditional medicine practiced in China. This is a natural source of iodine, and is sourced only from uncontaminated waters and screened for toxins and contamination.
  • Oatstraw Herb: a good source of vitamins B1, B2 and E, Avena sativa has long been used as a nerve tonic and restorative.
  • Coleus Root: contains the chemical forskolin, which has been proven to stimulate the thyroid. Coleus root has been used in Ayurvedic remedies to support healthy lung and heart function.

Liquid form

Thyroid Assist is one of only two thyroid support supplements in our review that doesn't come in capsule or tablet form. Instead, this product is administered as a liquid that you dilute in a small amount of juice or water. For adults and children ages 15+, the recommended dosage is 0.5mL, taken 2-3 times per day. So, with a full-strength dose (3 times per day at 0.5 mL), a bottle of Thyroid Assist will last approximately 40 days.

More expensive

Pricewise, that makes this thyroid support option more expensive than most of the products in our evaluation: you'll pay $39.95 for a bottle. But, Native Remedies is well-known for having frequent promotions that could save you money. On our most recent visit, there was a pop-up offer of free shipping and a discount of up to 40% off for first-time subscribers to their email list. We also spotted a promo at the top of the site for a 10% discount and expedited shipping on orders of $89+.

Quantity discounts

In addition, most of the supplements sold by Native Remedies come with a Buy 2 Get 1 Free offer - so you could get three bottles for the price of two, or mix-and-match the remedies to address various health concerns in your household. Finally, if you try Thyroid Assist and absolutely love what it does for you, you can save 15% and get free shipping if you sign up for their Auto Delivery Service - making sure you never run out!

Money back guarantee

Another huge perk of shopping with Native Remedies is their extraordinary money-back guarantee. If you try any of their products for at least 30 days, you have a full year to return them for a full refund. You only have to return any product containers, used or unused, including your name and invoice or order number. You won't find any other thyroid support supplement that offers such a generous return policy. That makes it completely risk-free to give Thyroid Assist a try.

Good customer reviews

So, does Thyroid Assist work? There were about 30 customer testimonials on the Native Remedies product page, and nearly all of them gave it a perfect five-star rating. Many of them referenced using this supplement in conjunction with others (like AdrenoBoost or ThyroSoothe), so keep in mind that it may take both some trial-and-error and more than one thyroid support option to achieve the overall improvement in your symptoms that you're hoping for. We also want to point out that, unlike many companies, Native Remedies publishes ALL of their reviews, not just the positive ones. We appreciate that kind of transparency.

Good choice

Thyroid Assist is a good option among thyroid support products, especially if you need a non-capsule format or if you prefer a supplement with a shorter list of ingredients than most. You'll spend more per month when using this remedy, but money-saving promotions and an unparalleled satisfaction guarantee might convince you to give Thyroid Assist a chance.

Thyromine

Cost:

1 bottle - $39.95 plus $6.95 shipping

3 bottles - $79.90, free shipping (save $39.96)

5 bottles - $119.85, free shipping (save $47.94)

Thyromine is designed to help you have healthy thyroid function and a better metabolism. According to their product page, this supplement contains herbs and minerals to support optimal thyroid function.

What are the ingredients?

Which ingredients are those? You won't find that information on the Thyromine website. The most you'll discover is that it shouldn't be used by anyone under the age of 18, or by those who are suffering from several conditions (such as high blood pressure, kidney or liver disease, or any psychiatric diagnosis). You can't even see a product label.

What's the dosage?

How much Thyromine do you need to take for optimal health? Great question. But you won't find an answer for that on their product website either: look in the FAQ and you'll see that you'll have to wait until you receive your shipment to read the recommended dosage. That sounds pretty scary to us!

Return policy issues

Plus, returns are only accepted on unopened products within 90 days. So, if you try Thyromine and have a bad reaction or simply don't get the results you expected, you'll only get money back on the bottles you didn't use. Add that to nonrefundable shipping costs and a $6 per item return processing/restocking fee, and you'll soon see it's not worth it to attempt a refund. They're probably counting on that, given that their link to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) takes you to a third-party site with even more hoops to jump through - and where they say your return processing fee is $10, not $6.

Where are they?

Thyromine is one of many health products offered by parent company Buy Health (alternately - and not creatively - also known as Health Buy). Given what you've already read about Thyromine, you probably won't be surprised to learn that Buy Health has an "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau. The company's listing there has a US address, which doesn't even come close to matching up with the Delaware area code phone number or the international address in Cyprus listed on the Thyromine website.

Disappointing overall

So, let's summarize: send at least $35 off to a company that promises to support your thyroid health, without telling you what's in the product or how much you'll need to take, and forget about trying to get a refund if it arrives and you are allergic to one of the mystery ingredients. Make a phone call which could be directed to California, Maryland, Cyprus, or some other unknown destination - if anyone even answers the phone. Sounds like a losing proposition all the way around. For all of these reasons, Thyromine is our lowest-ranked thyroid health supplement, and we strongly encourage you to consider the more reputable products in our review.

Continued from above

What happens when the thyroid gland is under- or overactive? Some common symptoms are mood swings, constipation, slow metabolism and/or weight gain, fatigue, temperature sensitivity, and more. With today's busy lifestyles, who can afford to be operating at anything less than full power?

In an ideal world, you could eliminate all of the potential causes of poor thyroid function and return quickly to wellness. These causes can include stress, genetic predisposition to thyroid problems, less-than-healthy eating habits (including yo-yo dieting), even environmental pollution. But, realistically, many of those factors are beyond your control.

The good news is that there are many supplements available over-the-counter that offer thyroid support. These products tend to address thyroid health by providing an abundance of nutrients that have been shown to reduce symptoms and improve overall thyroid function. But, as with most products, your results may vary - and it can take some trial-and-error to find the product that works best for your body.

So, when considering all of the thyroid supplements on the market, how can you decide which one to try? Here are several criteria that may help you find the right thyroid support:

  • Ingredients. What combination of vitamins, minerals, and/or herbal extracts are used to deliver improved thyroid health? How do they work to decrease your symptoms or increase thyroid function? Be sure that none of the ingredients interact with other medications or supplements you may be taking.
  • Method of Use. Some thyroid supplements come in traditional tablets or capsules, while others can be mixed in with your favorite drink or plain water. Choose a thyroid supplement that is administered in a way you can tolerate easily.
  • Cost. How much will you spend per month? Pay close attention to dosage details, because some supplements may need to be used more frequently in the beginning - so a one-month supply may actually not last the full 30 days. Are you getting a good value for what you'll pay?
  • Effectiveness. What do other users say about their experience when using the thyroid product? How soon can you expect to see results?
  • Satisfaction Guarantee. It may take a few tries to find the thyroid health product that works for you. Choosing one that has a generous refund policy can help make the process less costly in the long run.
