Get Your Trophy With Awardsco Today! Where can you find the best trophies and awards? That's a great question if you're in charge of recognizing athletes for their participation and accomplishments, giving employees a well-deserved award for being their team's MVP during a tough quarter at work, or giving any other type of praise and applause in a more formal, tangible way.

Trophies and awards really run the gamut when considering options for designs, shapes, materials, and budgets. On one end of the spectrum, you'll find the inexpensive plastic-and-metal trophies common at Little League baseball end-of-season awards nights, usually with a generic inscription congratulating the little slugger for being a part of the team. On the other end of the spectrum, the sky's the limit: crystal, art deco glass, and other high-quality materials make up the products you'll find here. Think of what you'd expect when honoring someone for a lifetime's worth of achievements in a highly-competitive field, and you'll get an idea of the types of awards on the upper end of the price range.

Crown Awards has been manufacturing and supplying awards for youth sports and corporate businesses since 1978. This New York-based trophy store genuinely believes that "the customer is always right", as amply demonstrated by their nearly 100,000 5-star reviews from very satisfied shoppers.

Although the website for Crown Award's online store isn't the slickest we've seen, it still provides a solid platform for finding the trophies and other awards you need for your club, team, or company.

Take a look around the site - both across the top and down the left side, depending on whether you're on a laptop or mobile browser - and you'll quickly find categories to help you navigate to what you need. Trophies? Plaques? Medals? Glassware? Corporate Awards? You'll spot all of that and more across the top. Scroll down a little further and have some fun browsing the specific categories of awards on the left side: Ugly Sweater Awards?! Cornhole Trophies?! Pinewood Derby too?! And yes, of course, you'll be able to click on lots of traditional options like Football, Cheerleading, Little League and Golf and many others.

Let's take a look at a popular category like Dance Trophies. We like that once you've selected the interest area, Crown Awards takes you to a page that lets you easily sort through the possibilities. You can either click on a subcategory image, like Dance Medals or Glimmer Ball Trophies, or you can click the checkboxes on the left side of the page by price or style. You'll find compatible sorting options at the top of the results too, if you would rather see items in order of price or only a specific award type like Cup Trophies or Medals.

When you've figured out which trophy or award you'd like to give out, the individual product page will walk you through everything you need to know and choose, from prices based on the size of your order to color options and additional suggestions. Best of all, because Crown has a customer base of well over 100,000, many of the trophies and awards have numerous customer reviews, so you can get someone's first-hand perspective on how the awards looked after production.

Like most of the trophy stores we evaluated, Crown Awards offers free ground shipping on orders of at least $100. They offer rush shipping, and you'll need to call their customer service department to get a quote. Whether you choose standard ground shipping or one of the expedited options, Crown will gladly calculate your order's delivery date, and customers say that it's a huge relief to know exactly when their trophies will arrive - and that the date quoted by Crown is almost always dead on.

On the other hand, one area where Crown comes up a little short of the competition is their engraving costs. For most awards like trophies and plaques, the first 40 characters are free. Beyond that, you have to pay for each extra character. Okay, maybe 12 cents per character on a trophy doesn't seem like much, but if you're ordering 500 trophies and need an extra 10 characters on each award, that definitely adds up!

Crown's return policy isn't the best - or the worst - that we've seen. If for some reason you want to return your trophies or other items, you'll need to notify the company within 7 business days of delivery. Returns are subject to a restocking fee of 30%, and customized items like crystal awards and engravable rings are non-refundable. This doesn't apply to things like trophies or plaques where the engraved plates can be removed and replaced with a new one for the next customer.

Ample options, near-perfect customer feedback, and a simple-to-use website that makes it almost hassle-free to order the right trophies for your next awards night: just some of the reasons that make Crown Awards a great choice among trophy stores.

Have you ever visited a website that makes your head hurt just to look at it? You know, small print, tiny or pixelated images, and a design that looks like it's about 15 years out of style? Blue Ribbon Awards and Trophies is that kind of site.

If you don't know what you're looking for, you're going to have to scroll through tiny links on the left side of the page: Cell Phone Accessories, Leather Gift Items, and Promotional Items are just a few of the categories that really didn't seem to have anything to do with trophies and awards.

When you finally do get to the set of links for Trophies, you'll have to know if you want Corporate, Resin, Traditional or Cups. What if you want a Corporate Cup style? Which one do you pick? We're not sure it matters, because you'll be scrolling and clicking for a while anyway.

Even when you click on one of those - let's say you are looking for a Traditional Baseball Trophy - you probably aren't going to find it in a hurry. You almost have to design what you want from start to finish. A single column trophy? Oh, NOW you might find one that applies to baseball...after you scroll through the ones for archery, softball, bowling and more.

We're sure that they have a great reputation in their local market of Dallas/Plano, but it's not too encouraging when you click on the Testimonials link and get a black screen. (Evidently their mission to "Recognize the Extraordinary" doesn't extend to their online store's design.)

There's also nothing beyond the ordinary with this store's policies and practices. You'll have to spend twice as much money to get free shipping - $200 - compared with most of Blue Ribbon's rivals. Because every order is created on a custom basis, there are no refunds. Period. Even if there's an engraving error on the company's part, you'll get a corrected replacement or a similar new item. Most of the trophy stores in our review will at least accept returns on items like trophies, with a restocking fee, because the engraved part can be replaced with a new plate for another customer.

With so many trophy stores that provide an intuitive online shopping experience, along with friendly customer policies and ample evidence of doing a fantastic job with delivering high-quality awards on time, it's hard to see why anyone would shop at Blue Ribbon Awards. We're certain that you'll have a more satisfying shopping experience if you buy your trophies and awards from one of our higher-rated retailers.

Can't find a specialty trophy store near you? No problem! Most teams, organizations and companies turn to trusted online providers of trophies anyway: why not, when the options are plentiful, prices are competitive, and you can get your order just as quickly as if you purchased it from a local brick-and-mortar shop? Even your customizations can be taken care of quickly, ensuring that you have the perfect award for the ceremony, right on time.

So, how can you decide which trophy store should get your business, both now and hopefully for years to come? Here are several factors that may influence your purchasing decision when ordering trophies:

  • Selection. How many different types of trophies are in stock? You don't want to hand out the same thing year after year, so choosing a store with a wide variety in the category you need (e.g. soccer, academics, etc.) makes it easier to keep your recognition fresh with each season or year.
  • Service. What does the trophy store do to make your purchase easier? Is it difficult or time-consuming to get customizations? Can you get expedited delivery if needed? What will you spend for shipping?
  • Price. Given that many trophy stores sell awards that are very similar, how does the company measure up when looking at price? Are they competitive with other retailers?
  • Reputation. How well is the company doing when it comes to keeping customers happy? Do they offer a satisfaction policy that gets you a refund or replacement if your awards or trophies arrive and don't look like they did on the website? Has the company been rated by the BBB?

TopConsumerReviews has reviewed and ranked the best trophy stores available today. We hope this information helps you find the ideal trophies and awards for your next recognition ceremony, end-of-season banquet, or celebration of excellence!
