Get Your Trophy With Awardsco Today! Where can you find the best trophies and awards? That's a great question if you're in charge of recognizing athletes for their participation and accomplishments, giving employees a well-deserved award for being their team's MVP during a tough quarter at work, or giving any other type of praise and applause in a more formal, tangible way.

Trophies and awards really run the gamut when considering options for designs, shapes, materials, and budgets. On one end of the spectrum, you'll find the inexpensive plastic-and-metal trophies common at Little League baseball end-of-season awards nights, usually with a generic inscription congratulating the little slugger for being a part of the team. On the other end of the spectrum, the sky's the limit: crystal, art deco glass, and other high-quality materials make up the products you'll find here. Think of what you'd expect when honoring someone for a lifetime's worth of achievements in a highly-competitive field, and you'll get an idea of the types of awards on the upper end of the price range.

Cost:

From $5 to $504

Free economy shipping on orders over $100

Over the last 20 years, Trophy Central has provided trophies and awards for more than 100,000 customers - including more than 60% of Fortune 500 companies and nearly 10,000 elementary and secondary schools.

You won't have any difficulties finding what you need on this well-organized trophy store's site. Across the top of the page, you'll see helpful categories to guide your shopping:

  • Trophies
  • Trophy Cups
  • Plaques
  • Engraving
  • Crystal Awards
  • Medals
  • Pins
  • Ribbons
  • Certificates
  • Gifts
  • Promotional
  • Trophy & Display Cases

You can also scroll down the home page and see if anything catches your eye, click on the dropdown at the top of the page to shop by category/sport/school subject, or simply enter a search keyword or phrase.

Trophy Central didn't have as many selections as we were expecting in certain categories. For example, under Funny/Gag trophies, there seemed to be only one style: a horse's rear end! Also, under the Science category, there were only a handful of certificates, one trophy, and a few assorted medals and pins. But for some of the more popular activities you'd associate with awards, like sports, there were usually at least two dozen options for trophies alone.

Once you've selected a particular award, the product page will give you the details you need regarding pricing and any other options. Pricing is usually dependent upon the number of items you order, typically in increments from 1-9, 10-49, 50-99, and 100+. We didn't like that you had to click on a tiny blue link to see samples of color options (e.g. the pedestal or column for a trophy) - many of Trophy Central's competitors make that much easier to see without having to take any extra steps.

Trophy Central has a reasonable return policy. Items can be returned within 21 days for replacement or refund, as long as the product hasn't been engraved. However, if the engraving plate can be removed and the item can be reused, the customer service team at Trophy Central will make every effort to accept your return. You may have to pay a restocking fee ranging from 15-25%, depending on the item.

This is also the only trophy store we found that has a rewards program. While the details on the site were a little thin, generally speaking you'll get rewards points on every purchase that can be redeemed for anything sold on the Trophy Central site. You'll have to set up an account on the site, and you'll be enrolled in the program at no cost. If you regularly place orders for trophies and awards - quarterly ceremonies, yearly awards banquets, etc. - that could be a strong factor to consider ordering from this retailer.

Trophy Central enjoys an "A+" rating from the BBB, and it's hard to find any negative customer reviews for this trophy store. By all appearances, it's a good place to shop for awards of all kinds.

But, when compared with other retailers, this shop has fewer options and the site isn't as clear when looking at various options for personalization, colors, and so forth. If you find what you're looking for on the Trophy Central online store, you can order confidently knowing that it's a reputable company that will do everything possible to make you happy - but it just doesn't have the options we found on some of the higher-ranked stores we reviewed.

Can't find a specialty trophy store near you? No problem! Most teams, organizations and companies turn to trusted online providers of trophies anyway: why not, when the options are plentiful, prices are competitive, and you can get your order just as quickly as if you purchased it from a local brick-and-mortar shop? Even your customizations can be taken care of quickly, ensuring that you have the perfect award for the ceremony, right on time.

So, how can you decide which trophy store should get your business, both now and hopefully for years to come? Here are several factors that may influence your purchasing decision when ordering trophies:

  • Selection. How many different types of trophies are in stock? You don't want to hand out the same thing year after year, so choosing a store with a wide variety in the category you need (e.g. soccer, academics, etc.) makes it easier to keep your recognition fresh with each season or year.
  • Service. What does the trophy store do to make your purchase easier? Is it difficult or time-consuming to get customizations? Can you get expedited delivery if needed? What will you spend for shipping?
  • Price. Given that many trophy stores sell awards that are very similar, how does the company measure up when looking at price? Are they competitive with other retailers?
  • Reputation. How well is the company doing when it comes to keeping customers happy? Do they offer a satisfaction policy that gets you a refund or replacement if your awards or trophies arrive and don't look like they did on the website? Has the company been rated by the BBB?

TopConsumerReviews has reviewed and ranked the best trophy stores available today. We hope this information helps you find the ideal trophies and awards for your next recognition ceremony, end-of-season banquet, or celebration of excellence!
