When it comes to selection, World of Watches has an impressive variety to choose from. The huge selection of over 3,600 watches, representing designers from Seiko and Invicta to Breitling and Cartier, means you're bound to find just the watch you're looking for.
To start with, the assortment of men's watches is huge. You can browse through approximately 2,200 watches from 90+ different brands. Prices run the gamut, depending on what you're willing to spend. On the low end, you can purchase an inexpensive everyday watch for as low as $19.99. On the other hand, if you're looking to make a statement, you can spend up to $8,999 for a true designer watch.
Women aren't left behind, with over 1,400 watches from 80+ different brands. With such a large selection it's not surprising to find them offered at all price points - starting from $11.99 and ranging all the way up to $17,829 for the watch lover with extra deep pockets.
To navigate through this vast assortment of quality watches, World of Watches provides an easy-to-use search facility. You can narrow down your selection from their watch warehouse with over 17 different parameters, including:
World of Watches provides free standard shipping on all orders, with no minimum purchase required. They also offer extreme deals under their Time Bombs category - where you can find steep discounts of 30%-80% or more on limited selection offers. These deals are from the same authentic watch manufacturers listed throughout their site, and represent some truly incredible savings.
All watches sold by World of Watches are guaranteed to be 100% authentic. However, if you're not happy with your watch after you receive it - for any reason - you can return it within 30 days for a full refund.
To top it off, World of Watches offers a 100% price match guarantee. If you find the same watch in-stock from another established watch retailer, they will match that price. This guarantee shows that World of Watches constantly strives to offer you the best price on all the watches they offer.
For all these reasons, it's clear that World of Watches sets the standard for watch retailers in today's marketplace. They earn our highest rating.
The Watchery is an online watch retailer in business since 1997 that advertises guaranteed authentic watches at bargain prices. Clearly authenticity is a priority at The Watchery, as they address the issue in several ways on the main page. They specifically offer a "shop with confidence, 100% guaranteed" policy to put customers at ease.
Categories across a menu bar include men's watches, women's watches, best sellers, diamond watches and a sale/clearance category. On the left hand side there is a menu where you can choose a watch by brand, color, movement type, case size, band color or other criteria, making it very easy to quickly pinpoint the kind of watch you are looking for. There are hundreds of brands and thousands of watches available; the selection seems endless and was quite a bit more extensive than other similar online watch retailers. Each product shows the MSRP price and the discounted price you will pay if your order online from The Watchery.
From our comparison, we found that prices were competitive with other discount online watch retailers. Shipping is free for any order (no minimum purchase) and they offer a 2 day shipping option for $5.00. Additional expedited shipping is available.
All watches from The Watchery come with a warrantee based on the brand of watch. Basically it is just an extension of the warrantee that you would get if you bought from the manufacturer directly. The list of brands is easy to find and you can quickly determine exactly what your warrantee will include.
The return/refund policy is fairly decent. You have 30 days to return any unused, undamaged merchandise as long as the watch is in its original condition and you have the original packaging and documentation. You have to call a customer service representative to get a return number to include, and you must pay for return shipping, but otherwise you can return an unwanted product for any reason.
With a massive selection, easy to use website, good return policy and competitive prices, The Watchery is a great place to shop for name brand watches.
The Discount Watch Store (or DWS) is an online watch retailer in business since 2002. They advertise authentic watches at guaranteed lowest prices and back that up with an A+ Better Business Bureau rating. They also offer more ways to pay than other similar sites. You can pay with a credit or debit card of course, but there are also links to pay by PayPal, through an Amazon account, or via the Google checkout service. All of this gave us a good, customer friendly first impression.
The website itself is much like other online retail stores. The main page is dominated by "featured brands" and watches, most of which appear to be last minute sales with eye catching discounts. On the left hand side there is a menu where you can choose a watch by brand, gender, or type of watch such as gold, diving, atomic, etc. The variety of brands is large, but not quite as extensive as some of the other watch retailers we have reviewed. Each product shows the suggested retail price and then the discounted price you will pay if your order online from DWS. The checkout system is typical and easy to use and the prices seemed competitive with other discount watch retailers.
Shipping is free for any order with no minimum purchase requirement. They also offer a 2 day shipping option for free for purchases $150 and up. For more expedited options, shipping charges ranges from $5.95 to $19.95.
The return/refund policy is better than some other sites reviewed. Customers have a lengthy 90 days to return any unused merchandise as long as it is undamaged and in its original packaging. All watches come with a warrantee based on the brand of watch. Basically these warrantees are extensions of the what comes from the manufacturer directly. The list of brands is easy to find and you can easily determine the details of your warrantee based on the brand of watch you purchased.
Discount Watch Store has a simple, user friendly website, a large selection and a return policy that beats that of most competitors. We feel it would be an excellent choice for anyone looking to purchase a watch or watches online.
When it comes to shopping for a watch there is a lot to consider. Watches can be a very personal accessory and depending on the occasion, watches need to provide the right functionality to suit the person wearing it! Zappos is a very user-friendly website that makes the process of purchasing a watch easy to personalize. You can begin with basic search terms like: Gender, Style, Material and Features. After that, you can refine your search with terms like: Brand, Category, Color, Performance, Display (analog, digital or dual), Face shape, water resistance, theme and closures.
There is an impressive selection for a site that is not completely devoted to watch sales. You can find something very casual or dress it up a little and explore their luxury options. The prices, like the selection, range, from $24.95 to $2,795.00
The photos on the website are clear and detailed and Zappos even takes it a step further and provides a 3D video which provides a more precise visual of the watch. The lengths they go to is the next best thing to actually being able to try the watch on.
If you find a watch that appeals to you, the order process is simple and shipping is FREE! If you are not pleased with the watch, the return policy is amazing! You have 365 days to return the item, unworn, in its original packaging.
Zappos is a leader in customer service in the industry and across the board. They are even regarded as a model for companies seeking to strengthen their own customer service. After learning more about Zappos customer service we can see why. Their 24/7 customer service offers the option to live chat online, call or email with questions. We found them to be pleasant and entirely focused on our satisfaction. Pair this level of professionalism with stellar shipping and return policies and you can't go wrong.
Zappos may not have the selection of more specialized online retailers, but with over 2,000 watches to choose from, we think you'll be able to find something to suit your style. They have a variety of watches that span a variety of preferences with fashion watches, luxury, casual, sport and even smart watches.
Whether you are pairing a watch with formal attire or looking for something to track your fitness at the gym, Zappos will have the latest styles to meet your needs. We are confident, you will be pleased with your Zappos shopping experience and we are certain that your satisfaction is top priority to them.
Wrist Watch features a vibrant online watch shopping experience with good search functionality and a deep selection of name-brand watches. Wrist Watch has more than 10,000 watches to choose from and covers many of the top name brands, such as Accutron, Armani, Bulova, Calvin Klein, Fendi, Guess, Invicta, Movado, Nautica, Oakley, Seiko, Timex, Tissot, and Tag Heuer.
The Wrist Watch shopping experience is enjoyable and draws you in. We recommend using their search tools to narrow your search by brand, style and price range. Wrist Watch features specials, hot deals, and even has a free member sign-up to further enhance the shopping experience. Wrist Watch offers live customer service and easy order tracking. We also liked the member/account functionality.
The company offers an upfront return policy with a 30-day, money-back guarantee. However, in the case of returns you are responsible for all shipping fees, in addition to a restocking fee. Only watches that have never been worn are accepted.
Overall, Wrist Watch provides a good shopping experience with reasonable prices.
Nothing stodgy about this website. It feels like your entering one of those funky stores in the mall, the kind that reaches all the senses. This site screams, with color, music and fun. It is aiming at the hipper side of watch wearers, more specifically the "Millenials". Kenmar seems to know their market and caters to them.
This website is extremely well laid out and easy to understand. They answer most all questions on the site, but are available if you want to speak to someone live.
Kenmar is good at what they do, and they have been doing it for quite a while. They have been selling watches via the Internet since 1997. The selection is significant and the site offers several ways to shop. Watches can be sorted by price, styles, and brand. Like the site, the selection is very hip, while still maintaining a high level of professionalism. They also offer a "Nobody Beats Us" policy. They will beat any legitimate price that is lower than theirs.
If you are not 100% satisfied with the watch then it can be sent back within 14 days and a refund, less a $10 administrative fee and shipping, will be granted. Refunds are for unused merchandise only. They are very clear about only accepting returns that have not been worn.
The only area Kenmar watches don't compete well in is shipping prices. Their rates are high comparatively. They do promise timely service, so it might be a case of getting what you pay for, especially if you want to. "Wear the watch in 24 hours or less!" We recommend at least perusing this site. It is fun, and there are thousands of watches to choose from.
Braithwait seeks to provide men and women with elegant, premium watches "without the luxury markup". In their design and marketing alike, this retailer aims for simplicity, luxury, and transparency.
Will you find what you're looking for at Braithwait? That depends. If you want a fitness watch, an entry-level wristwatch, or a variety of brands to choose from, the answer is "no". On the other hand, if you're specifically shopping for a classic-looking, minimalist design, especially with automatic winding, Braithwait may be worth considering.
Braithwait's watch lines consist of the following, available in styles for both men and women:
Customer reviews of the three Braithwait watches are mixed. With the automatic model, some wearers complain about the amount of noise that it makes, even compared with other automatic models by other manufacturers. We also found some comments that the watch straps aren't always suitable for people with larger wrists. On the other hand, many customers praise the construction, quality, and look of Braithwait's timepieces and were very satisfied with their purchase.
We found Braithwait's return policy to be somewhat confusing. At first, we were excited to see their "try-before-you-keep" policy, until we read that the watch has to be unworn in order to qualify. We're not sure how you try a watch without wearing it, especially for the automatic watches that rely on the wearer's movements for power. In general, however, Braithwait's return policy allows for returns within 30 days of delivery, and they cover the cost of the return shipping.
On a more positive note, Braithwait has a 12-month warranty and free worldwide shipping on all orders. We appreciate these customer-friendly policies.
Braithwait watches do seem to be well-made, stylish, and appropriately priced. But, if you're looking for a variety of styles, brands, or price points, this retailer probably won't meet all of your needs.
eWatches is a no-nonsense site offering a wide-range of styles, name brands and prices. The presentation is very straightforward and simple, but effective. Pictures descriptions and product detail are very crisp. eWatches is an authorized dealer for many different brands including Accutron, Bulova, Kenneth Cole, Tommy Bahama, Seiko, Swiss Army Watches and many others. Browsing for a watch is a snap.
The simple layout makes it quick to navigate and shop. You can sort by best selling watches, by price, name brand, special features, gender, band style, movement types, and dial color. eWatches also touts their "low-price" guarantee, which says they will beat or match the total purchase price if a customer finds one of the watches they sell at any other authorized dealer advertised at a better price. Along with a low-price guarantee, eWatches proudly offers free sizing and free shipping.
eWatches has easy-to-access customer service help including order tracking, email sales support and live customer service support. eWatches stands behind their products and as an authorized dealer they provide the full, original manufacturer's warranty on all watches sold.
Self-proclaimed as one of the largest and oldest watch retailers on the web, with many thousands of satisfied customers, Princeton Watches is an authorized dealer of brand-name new watches. From a shopping experience, the Princeton site is hard to maneuver, out dated and frustrating to get around, especially if you are watch shopping without a specific brand in mind.
Too much drill down and non-intuitive searching bogs down the shopping functionality. Searching by style or price proved to be slow, difficult and not the fluid experience that online shoppers have come to expect from quality sites.
On the positive side, Princeton Watches offers free shipping, live, professional customer service and a very clear, up-front return policy. We liked the fact Princeton Watches doesn't have a "restocking fee" on returns. They also boast of having a big, in-stock inventory with fast shipping.
While the actual shopping experience of this site is not anything to get excited about, if you have a specific brand in mind you can feel confident about purchasing through Princeton based on their track record, reasonable pricing and buyer-friendly return policy.
Overall, due to site functionality and lack of professionalism this regard we put this watch store on the bottom of our list.
Outside of meeting all of our busy deadlines and appointments, fashion and the latest trends are the leading force in what most of us are wearing around our wrists.
But, if you take the time to walk around the mall or go to expensive jewelry stores you'll find that most offer a very limited selection of watch brands and styles. Also, prices seem to be fixed across all the stores and sales are limited to clearance items and damaged goods.
For those price-sensitive shoppers, and those looking for something unique, finding a good deal and a new look are more of a challenge.
Instead of buying at traditional stores, many savvy shoppers are turning to online watch stores to meet their selection and price needs. When looking at online watch stores, there are a number of features to consider before spending your time and money making a purchase. Some of these include:
