TopConsumerReviews.com Best-In-Class Blue Ribbon Award The team behind Aisle Planner knew that wedding professionals needed to have planning and business management tools in a single place, from lead contact forms to day-of timelines, to both find and book new clients and keep active ones informed and happy. This wedding planning software platform lets you do just that. (And, while the service is geared towards wedding planners, couples can also use the service to keep track of their own details - Aisle Planner is gradually rolling out more features designed specifically for couples, so stay tuned.)

You can access the industry's most generous free trial - 30 days of full access to every feature on Aisle Planner - by entering your name and email address and confirming your account. During that trial, you can get help from the company's support team, who will answer your questions and walk you through any of the tools that interest you.

Here are the types of features you can expect with Aisle Planner:

  • Aisle Planner Marketplace Listing: connect with new clients, show off your best work, and review other vendors with a well-styled business listing.
  • Client Management/CRM Tools: communicate with inbound leads, collect information, create proposals, design contracts and invoices, and receive online payments.
  • Wedding and Event Planning Tools: dashboard, checklists, timelines (that can also be shared with client couples), budget, calendar, vendor lists, notebook, guest manager, seating and layouts, event websites, automatic reminders and more.
  • Design Tools: lets you design style guides, color palettes and mood boards that can be shared to easily communicate exactly how the wedding should look and feel.

Aisle Planner's pricing will depend on how many active clients or "projects" you have going at any given time.

  • 10 Active Projects: $39.99/month for Basic, $59.99/month for Enhanced, $79.99/month for Premium
  • 25 Active Projects: $69.99/month for Basic, $89.99/month for Enhanced, $109.99/month for Premium
  • 45 Active Projects: $99/month for Basic, $119.99/month for Enhanced, $139.99/month for Premium

There are also packages for 65 and 100 active projects, and Aisle Planner offers custom pricing for wedding planners with more than 100 active clients at a time (lucky you!).

Wondering what the differences are among the Basic, Enhanced and Premium packages? You'll find a great comparison chart below the Pricing details (just click on the header that says Pricing to find it). But, in a nutshell, your package level determines what your wedding planner listing will look like in the Aisle Planner service, including features like removing your competitors from your listing, giving you portfolio galleries, and even featuring you on the Aisle Planner home page. These are features that could considerably raise your profile as a wedding professional within your market, so be sure to take a look when deciding which package best meets your needs.

People who have used Aisle Planner have very good things to say about the experience. Wedding planners say that the software/platform has everything they need to run their businesses, and that the time they save by using such an all-in-one tool is well worth the affordable monthly price. Customers also confirm that they were able to get friendly, knowledgeable help whenever they needed it, especially during the initial learning curve when using Aisle Planner for the first time.

In short, there's really nothing you could ask for in a wedding planning software tool that you won't find with Aisle Planner, It's an excellent value for the money, modern and updated regularly, and can save you lots of time (and hassle) when managing all of the details of an upcoming wedding (or 20!). Aisle Planner earns our highest rating.

Monthly subscriptions start at $9.99

BrideVue is suitable for couples, wedding planners, and vendors who want to be able to picture all the details of the big day in 3D. What would the reception look like with the taupe tablecloths? How are the tables arranged in the Royal Hawaiian Golf Club or the Dearborn Inn Marriott? This unique platform provides you with a true-to-form visualization of your entire event.

The site offers a "free trial", which is really more of a demo of how the service works. The good news is, you don't need to sign up or provide any information to give it a try. It didn't really give us much to work with: we could change the color of the chairs and look around the sample reception room, but not much else.

We clicked on the Vendors tab in the demo and entered our state, which gave us a referral for an interior designer located several hundred miles away from our location. The text was hard to read, and links to the vendor website didn't go anywhere.

Pricing on BrideVue is straightforward:

  • 1-month subscription: $9.99
  • 3-month subscription: $12.99
  • 6-month subscription: $16.99
  • 1-year subscription: $19.99

Payment only goes through PayPal, which could eliminate some prospective clients who prefer other platforms like Venmo or who want to pay directly with a credit card.

Our general impression using the BrideVue service left us wondering if anyone is really using this service: the website copyright was over a year old at the time of our visit, the blog consisted of a single post, and user reviews were almost non-existent. The only ones we could find were for an iOs app by the same name - with user comments saying that the app had stopped working, or that they used the free version but weren't ever able to upgrade to the paid service.

Want to be even more confused? Try clicking on the Consultations tab. From what we could see, it's a feature that should let subscribers connect with professionals who can help with wedding planning - but BrideVue never moved it out of testing mode (and didn't hide the feature until it was actually finished!).

BrideVue is a service with a lot of potential - but it's hard to tell if it's still being developed or if it's been abandoned altogether. As far as Wedding Planning Software goes, this is definitely not one of our favorites.

Continued from above

How about music? If it's a destination wedding, what travel and accommodation arrangements need to be reserved, and how far in advance? It's easy to see how overwhelming it could be to track those kinds of details for one couple - how much more so when you've got several weddings to plan at the same time!

While there are a number of Wedding Planning Guides and Wedding Website Builders that couples can use to try and manage on their own, most of them don't offer the extensive features found in many Wedding Planning Software packages - which are tailored towards planners who need a higher level of organization. Think of it as project management software for the wedding planning professional!

When looking at the options available to you today, how can you tell which program is right for your needs? Keep in mind these criteria as you make your decision:

  • Scope. Whether you're just getting started or you've been planning weddings for years, you need wedding planning software that fits your business. Does the software cover everything you typically have to manage?
  • Cost. How much will you pay to use the platform? Is it worth the investment to get the features it provides? Will you have to pay annually, or can you go month-to-month?
  • Reputation. Anyone can throw together a piece of software and start to sell it online. Does the wedding planning program have a proven history of helping couples and/or professionals to organize their events efficiently and easily?

TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked the best wedding planning software available today. We hope this information helps you find the right tool for your "I Do's"!
