Best Wedding Planning Software Better Business Bureau Reliability Seal

Plan Your Wedding With Aisle Planner Today! Where can you get the best Wedding Planning Software? Whether you're a happy couple trying to make it a little easier to get from "Yes, I'll marry you!" to "I do!" or you're a professional wedding planner who needs to keep track of your Cinderellas and Bridezillas alike, using Wedding Planning Software could make a huge difference.

The biggest reason to consider using a Wedding Planning Software package is organization. The list of things that need careful planning, tracking, and even budgeting can become nearly endless. Who's on the guest list? Which vendors will be providing services, like catering or flowers, and when are their payment deadlines? What arrangements need to be made with the venue for seating, decor, and any special requests?

Cost:

Free 30-day trial

Monthly subscription prices start at $39.99

TopConsumerReviews.com Best-In-Class Blue Ribbon Award The team behind Aisle Planner knew that wedding professionals needed to have planning and business management tools in a single place, from lead contact forms to day-of timelines, to both find and book new clients and keep active ones informed and happy. This wedding planning software platform lets you do just that. (And, while the service is geared towards wedding planners, couples can also use the service to keep track of their own details - Aisle Planner is gradually rolling out more features designed specifically for couples, so stay tuned.)

You can access the industry's most generous free trial - 30 days of full access to every feature on Aisle Planner - by entering your name and email address and confirming your account. During that trial, you can get help from the company's support team, who will answer your questions and walk you through any of the tools that interest you.

Here are the types of features you can expect with Aisle Planner:

  • Aisle Planner Marketplace Listing: connect with new clients, show off your best work, and review other vendors with a well-styled business listing.
  • Client Management/CRM Tools: communicate with inbound leads, collect information, create proposals, design contracts and invoices, and receive online payments.
  • Wedding and Event Planning Tools: dashboard, checklists, timelines (that can also be shared with client couples), budget, calendar, vendor lists, notebook, guest manager, seating and layouts, event websites, automatic reminders and more.
  • Design Tools: lets you design style guides, color palettes and mood boards that can be shared to easily communicate exactly how the wedding should look and feel.

Aisle Planner's pricing will depend on how many active clients or "projects" you have going at any given time.

  • 10 Active Projects: $39.99/month for Basic, $59.99/month for Enhanced, $79.99/month for Premium
  • 25 Active Projects: $69.99/month for Basic, $89.99/month for Enhanced, $109.99/month for Premium
  • 45 Active Projects: $99/month for Basic, $119.99/month for Enhanced, $139.99/month for Premium

There are also packages for 65 and 100 active projects, and Aisle Planner offers custom pricing for wedding planners with more than 100 active clients at a time (lucky you!).

Wondering what the differences are among the Basic, Enhanced and Premium packages? You'll find a great comparison chart below the Pricing details (just click on the header that says Pricing to find it). But, in a nutshell, your package level determines what your wedding planner listing will look like in the Aisle Planner service, including features like removing your competitors from your listing, giving you portfolio galleries, and even featuring you on the Aisle Planner home page. These are features that could considerably raise your profile as a wedding professional within your market, so be sure to take a look when deciding which package best meets your needs.

People who have used Aisle Planner have very good things to say about the experience. Wedding planners say that the software/platform has everything they need to run their businesses, and that the time they save by using such an all-in-one tool is well worth the affordable monthly price. Customers also confirm that they were able to get friendly, knowledgeable help whenever they needed it, especially during the initial learning curve when using Aisle Planner for the first time.

In short, there's really nothing you could ask for in a wedding planning software tool that you won't find with Aisle Planner, It's an excellent value for the money, modern and updated regularly, and can save you lots of time (and hassle) when managing all of the details of an upcoming wedding (or 20!). Aisle Planner earns our highest rating.

Planning Pod

PLANNING POD Visit Site

Cost:

Pricing varies depending on the selected software package

Planning Pod was created to help busy event professionals, streamlining what is often done with spreadsheets and emails and keeping everything neatly pulled together in one place. If you've got a growing wedding planning business and are tired of trying to cobble together solutions to keep track of everything from vendors to venue floorplans, Planning Pod is worth considering.

We love that Planning Pod offers a 14-day free trial that lets you see first-hand how all of their services work - and that you don't need to enter a credit card to access it. If you decide not to subscribe to their services, you're under no obligation. But, if you love what Planning Pod has to offer, here's what you can expect to pay:

  • Event Management software: the Essential package is $19/month (billed annually) for up to 2 events at a time. Small firms/teams who plan up to 10 events at a time pay $39/month (also billed annually) for the Planner package. Larger companies who plan up to 25 events at a time need the Business package, priced at $69/month (billed annually).
  • Venue Management software: plans start at $99/month. You'll have to reach out to Planning Pod at their toll-free number (877-266-3885) for more details or to request a demo.
  • Floorplans tool: plans start at $49/month when billed annually.

When we looked at what wedding planners had to say about their experience with using Planning Pod, the comments were almost universally positive. Compliments included the ability to easily assign vendors and add pictures to each wedding, to give clients access to their wedding's details (without inadvertently giving them access to someone else's!), and seeing the developers continually upgrading and adding features over the years.

That last one is a big deal - because when you have users who have successfully used a wedding planning software service for a decade and say that improvements are always being rolled out, that puts it light years ahead of many other platforms (like some of the lower-ranked ones in our review!).

The only drawbacks to using Planning Pod? First, it's not custom-designed specifically for wedding planners, but for event planning professionals as a whole. That doesn't prove to be an issue for most wedding specialists, but it can make the platform a little less robust than our highest-rated software. And, as you may have noticed, you might have to purchase three separate subscriptions (Event Management, Venue Management, Floorplans) to get all of the tools you need - at $167/month minimum, that could put Planning Pod out of range for all but the most established wedding planners.

Planning Pod definitely offers a well-supported, intuitive wedding planning software platform that can eliminate a lot of the busywork that can make event planning a chore. It has a fantastic reputation among its users, and the two-week free trial lets you decide if the paid subscription is a good investment for your wedding planning service. This is a great option for those who have the need and a budget to match.

Wed Planner Pro

WED PLANNER PRO Visit Site

Cost:

Free 14-day trial

Monthly subscriptions start at $19

WedPlanner Pro got its start in 2013 with the mindset of giving wedding planners (and really meticulous couples) a platform to stay extremely organized when planning a couple's big day.

Tools offered within this wedding planning software include:

  • Organizing clients
  • Budget planner
  • Timelines: for each vendor and a master copy for the organizer
  • Vendor cards
  • File attachments
  • Collaboration options for working with clients/couples
  • Integration with FreshBooks

Interested users can get a free 14-day trial at no risk. Plans can be upgraded, downgraded or cancelled at any time. After the free trial, membership plans include a $19/month option for managing up to 3 weddings at once, $29/month for up to 8 weddings at a time, and $59/month for managing an unlimited number of weddings.

How many wedding professionals or couples are using WedPlanner Pro? That's a great question. The siteĎs URL isn't secure, the page's copyright was 2 years old at the time of our review, and the only way to contact the company is through an online form. And, because WedPlanner Pro's developers are based out of South Africa, there's no way to check their reputation with the Better Business Bureau.

It gets even better: checking out their blog, you'll see the reason for all of those issues we mentioned. As it happens, WedPlanner Pro announced their official retirement as 31 December 2019.

So, great platform? Maybe. But unless you got in on it when it launched, it's probably not going to do you any good now. You'll have to choose another option for your wedding planning software needs.

Bride Vue

BRIDE VUE Visit Site

Cost:

Monthly subscriptions start at $9.99

BrideVue is suitable for couples, wedding planners, and vendors who want to be able to picture all the details of the big day in 3D. What would the reception look like with the taupe tablecloths? How are the tables arranged in the Royal Hawaiian Golf Club or the Dearborn Inn Marriott? This unique platform provides you with a true-to-form visualization of your entire event.

The site offers a "free trial", which is really more of a demo of how the service works. The good news is, you don't need to sign up or provide any information to give it a try. It didn't really give us much to work with: we could change the color of the chairs and look around the sample reception room, but not much else.

We clicked on the Vendors tab in the demo and entered our state, which gave us a referral for an interior designer located several hundred miles away from our location. The text was hard to read, and links to the vendor website didn't go anywhere.

Pricing on BrideVue is straightforward:

  • 1-month subscription: $9.99
  • 3-month subscription: $12.99
  • 6-month subscription: $16.99
  • 1-year subscription: $19.99

Payment only goes through PayPal, which could eliminate some prospective clients who prefer other platforms like Venmo or who want to pay directly with a credit card.

Our general impression using the BrideVue service left us wondering if anyone is really using this service: the website copyright was over a year old at the time of our visit, the blog consisted of a single post, and user reviews were almost non-existent. The only ones we could find were for an iOs app by the same name - with user comments saying that the app had stopped working, or that they used the free version but weren't ever able to upgrade to the paid service.

Want to be even more confused? Try clicking on the Consultations tab. From what we could see, it's a feature that should let subscribers connect with professionals who can help with wedding planning - but BrideVue never moved it out of testing mode (and didn't hide the feature until it was actually finished!).

BrideVue is a service with a lot of potential - but it's hard to tell if it's still being developed or if it's been abandoned altogether. As far as Wedding Planning Software goes, this is definitely not one of our favorites.

I Do

I DO Visit Site

Cost:

Subscriptions start at $9/month

iDo is a cloud-based wedding planning software program that lets you plan your events and collaborate easily with others. Ideal for use by couples or by professional wedding planners, this tool prides itself on being safe, secure and fast.

One of the best reasons to consider iDo is the price: you won't find many wedding planning programs out there for just $9/month. Here's the great news: that subscription covers everyone on your "Dream Team", or the people you invite to collaborate with you. So, from your significant other to your business partner, they all can benefit from the platform completely free of charge. If you're a wedding planning professional, you'll only pay $9/month for each client's cloud. That's a huge advantage over monthly subscription fees of $50 or more that iDo's competitors charge!

So, what tools do you get with your iDo membership? Here are the features included in the software:

  • Contacts
  • Invitations
  • RSVPs
  • Attendees
  • Checklist
  • Notebook
  • Budget
  • Wedding Website (mobile-responsive)
  • Itinerary
  • Vendors
  • Gifts

You can assign access privileges for each of those categories as needed. For example, the caterer might need access to the attendees list to plan the amount of food accordingly, while the maid of honor may want to help the couple by keeping track of the gifts given.

At this point, you may be asking yourself why this service is the lowest-ranked in our reviews of wedding planning software. Unfortunately, the deeper we went in our evaluation of iDo, the more disappointed we were.

First, consider the available themes for the included wedding websites. They're blocky, boring, and definitely outdated - especially when you look at sites that offer wedding websites (often for free) that include video options, parallax scrolling, and much more.

Part of the reason the entire site looks so 2013 is probably because that's when the site was first released - and it doesn't seem like anything has been updated since then. What businesses route their blogs through tumblr anymore?

iDo is a product of Elm Software. When we looked up the company's BBB listing, we discovered that the business had earned an "F" rating; customer complaints said that they couldn't get a response from Elm Software to get help with software issues, and that it felt like the company had dropped off the face of the earth.

In other words, despite a great subscription cost and a nice list of features, iDo comes up extremely short when it comes to "safe, secure and fast" wedding planning software. You'll be better off with another service.

How about music? If it's a destination wedding, what travel and accommodation arrangements need to be reserved, and how far in advance? It's easy to see how overwhelming it could be to track those kinds of details for one couple - how much more so when you've got several weddings to plan at the same time!

While there are a number of Wedding Planning Guides and Wedding Website Builders that couples can use to try and manage on their own, most of them don't offer the extensive features found in many Wedding Planning Software packages - which are tailored towards planners who need a higher level of organization. Think of it as project management software for the wedding planning professional!

When looking at the options available to you today, how can you tell which program is right for your needs? Keep in mind these criteria as you make your decision:

  • Scope. Whether you're just getting started or you've been planning weddings for years, you need wedding planning software that fits your business. Does the software cover everything you typically have to manage?
  • Cost. How much will you pay to use the platform? Is it worth the investment to get the features it provides? Will you have to pay annually, or can you go month-to-month?
  • Reputation. Anyone can throw together a piece of software and start to sell it online. Does the wedding planning program have a proven history of helping couples and/or professionals to organize their events efficiently and easily?

TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked the best wedding planning software available today. We hope this information helps you find the right tool for your "I Do's"!
