Join Your Whiskey Club at Pour More Today! Who's the best Whiskey Club? Whiskey is back! And in a big way. Over the last decade sales numbers and whiskey options have soared. Whether increased sales have led to more distillers, or the craft distilling craze has led to increased overall sales, is a question best left for the experts.

The effect on the consumer is this: if you're into blended or single malt, large well-known distilleries or up-and-coming craft distillers, Irish Whiskey (spelled with the 'e') or American Bourbon or Scotch Whisky (spelled without the 'e'), the options are seemingly endless. Whether you're a connoisseur of fine whiskey or a recent convert, it's a really good time to be into whiskey. And a great time to join a Whiskey Club!

Mash & Grape's three unique club memberships are all available in 3 month, 6 month, or 12 month durations as well as an ongoing option where you will receive your monthly delivery until cancellation, which can be done at any time.

  • Whiskey Club, $79.00/month. The all encompassing, one size fits all, whiskey club with which you may receive monthly shipments of bourbon, scotch, or any quality whiskey from around the world. All will be 750mL bottles.
  • Bourbon Club, $79.00/month. In the bourbon club you receive amazing 750mL bottles of bourbon from award winning American distillers with each shipment.
  • Scotch Club, $89.00/month. Exclusive and rare bottles may make an appearance in your monthly delivery from Mash & Grape's Scotch Club. Each one will be an exceptional 750mL bottle of single malt scotch.

Whiskey, bourbon, and scotch club memberships of 3, 6, or 12 months are also available as gifts and require prepayment in full.

Membership Overview:

  • Selection: 750mL bottles, whiskeys from around the world
  • Duration: 3 month, 6 month, 12 month, ongoing Ė cancel ongoing any time
  • Frequency: Monthly
  • Shipping: $9.99 or $14.99/shipment

With the exclusion of a high-end option to satisfy some whiskey lovers, Mash & Grape's club selection in comparable to some higher rated clubs in our review. That omission along with the lack of a discount for long-term membership, even when prepaying, led to their lower rating in our review.

Cost:

American Whiskey Club - $146.99/quarter

World Whiskey Club - $166.99/quarter

Caskers offers two whiskey club options Ė 2 bottles, every three months. With only two clubs, it's an easy selection process for whiskey club shoppers. Their auto-renewing membership provides a quarterly delivery of 2 full size bottles of whiskey. Custom tasting cards and notes are included in each shipment.

With a quarterly cost of $146.99 or $166.99 based on club selection, they are the least expensive club we reviewed. The savings from Caskers continues with a feature few clubs have, free shipping. You'll be hard pressed to find another club to restock your bar with good whiskey at a cheaper price.

We were unable to find any information on Casker's site stating what kind of distillers they source from, but one picture on the site showed a possible shipment of three whiskeys from smaller, craft-style distillers which is comparable to other clubs we've reviewed. With only two club options, and the lowest price around, it's difficult to imagine Caskers offering any high-end bottles, at least not regularly. That said, Casker's states that the quarterly shipment includes quality whiskeys form artisanal craft distillers.

Membership Overview:

  • Selection: Two 750mL bottles from around the country or around the world, depending on club selection
  • Duration: 3 months, cancel anytime
  • Frequency: Quarterly
  • Shipping: Free

We feel Caskers is a good club for the new-to-whiskey club seeker or whiskey lover on a budget. Aside from the lowest price in our review, Caskers Whiskey Club doesn't quite compete with the higher rated clubs.

Continued from above

While many of these whiskey clubs focus on local or craft distillers that may not have wide name recognition outside their region, some have higher end options with brands all whiskey lovers will know. We think a whiskey club subscription is the best and most cost effective way to indulge your taste buds with new bottles and brands of whiskey. And the best clubs give you the ability to adjust your subscription to meet your specific tastes and needs.

There are many whiskey clubs to choose from and they vary almost as much as whiskey itself. With so many club options you should consider the features and benefits when deciding which club is the best fit for you. Here are a few important features of whiskey club subscriptions that you should consider:

  • Price. What is the subscription cost? Will you need to pay for shipping or is it free? Does the club offer any discounts for longer memberships?
  • Frequency. How often will a shipment be made? Do you have choices or is there only one option?
  • Flexibility. Are there options that cater to you, such as different memberships for different whiskey styles? Can you cancel anytime?
  • Selection. What comes in each shipment? Is it the same style of whiskey each time or are you able to try other styles? Where are the whiskeys sourced from?

TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked the best Whiskey Clubs available today. We hope these reviews help you find the right Whiskey Club membership to meet your needs!
