Zappos is an online smorgasbord for shoe lovers and those who seek an enjoyable online shoe shopping experience. Though shoe shopping online can sometimes seem daunting, Zappos addresses the hard to answer questions when it comes to sizing, fit and over all appearance of their shoes.
The website is easy to navigate and user-friendly. You're able to see the shoes clearly, in detail and from many angles. There is even a video included with most shoes, with a live presenter, showing the shoes and explaining the features in intricate detail. The video even shows the models (who are everyday people) wearing the shoes and strutting the product for a true, living picture of how they look.
The website is easy to maneuver with easy-to-find search options. You can search for the right pair of shoes by size, style, color, what's trending or specialty (such as diabetic, orthotic or vegan). You can even refine your search with options like:
There is something for everyone - from luxury couture to everyday casual. There is a broad selection of shoes for all price points ranging from $10.99 to $2,925.00.
Zappos online shopping experience is the next best thing to trying shoes on in person, and it allows you to shop from the comfort of your own home. If you don't love the shoes when you get them, you just login to print the free UPS shipping label and send them back - it's that easy!
Zappos customer service is a leader among leaders and is even regarded as an ideal customer service model across many industries. We can see why. The 24/7 live customer service operators are pleasant, helpful, and aim to please. They offer the option to chat online, speak to a live professional, or email with your questions. Their delivery and shipping policies appeal to the customer that appreciates immediate gratification as the shipping is fast and free. They understand that shopping online for footwear can be tricky so they eliminate the risk of dissatisfaction by offering a 365-day return policy of unworn, like new merchandise.
If fashion and shoes are your thing, then you'll also appreciate the Zappos Rewards program, where you can accumulate and easily track and redeem points with purchases. If shoes are a passion of someone you know, you'll be glad to know Zappos offer easy to purchase gift certificates and gift cards. This is a convenient option for last minute or gifting from a distance.
While Zappos "got their foot in the door" with shoe sales, they have grown and expanded their offerings to appeal to customers who appreciate a one stop shop for shoes, clothing, accessories and more. They boast an inventory of over 3 million items while adding more items daily.
Countless online reviews reveal the Zappos customer service and customer satisfaction policies have garnered a faithful following of many satisfied and stylish customers. We feel confident you'll be pleased if you try them on for size! For all these reasons, when it comes to Women's Shoes, Zappos earns our highest rating.
ShoeMall sets a high mark among online shoe stores. They offer an extensive selection of shoes to choose from, and sizes to fit any foot. If you're looking to buy a pair of shoes, this is a great place to start.
Overall, ShoeMall is a very visually appealing site. They do an excellent job of showcasing the shoes, so that you can closely see what you are purchasing. Their selection is huge - over 4,000 different pairs of women's shoes to choose from - and they carry hard to fit sizes. This is evident when you click on size and see how many different shoes they offer. The shoe size range you find at ShoeMall is so extensive that if you want to order a size 7, you'll find twenty different size 7's to choose from, everything from 7A4 to 7XX.
Prices at ShoeMall are consistently among the best you'll find on the Internet. Shoe prices vary from below $30 to over $150. As an added bonus, shipping costs are free. This makes for a no-risk shoe shopping experience if the product doesn't meet all of your needs.
The website functionality is easy and straightforward. One feature unique to ShoeMall that we liked was the "narrow your selection" option. With this, ShoeMall helps you hone in on a specific shoe, style, or color. This is almost like having a personal assistant help you shop.
Another thing that we liked about ShoeMall is that they offer gift certificates. This useful idea helps to further distinguish ShoeMall from their competition. They make the certificates easy to buy and redeem, so you can share your savings with a friend. After all, who doesn't like shoes?
When it comes to shopping for shoes, ShoeMall has it all. A wonderful selection to choose from, great hard-to-find sizes, competitive prices, free shipping, and an enjoyable shopping experience combine to earn ShoeMall very high marks for Women's Shoes.
No matter what kind of shoe you need - from cross-trainers for the gym to strappy sandals for your beach vacation - Shoes probably has it. Their inventory consists of nearly 20,000 shoes to choose from, ranging from size 4 to 18 and widths from narrow to extra wide.
Although you can start your shopping by listing all of the shoes the retailer has to offer, your best bet is to either enter the particular style or brand you're looking for in the search box at the top of the page, or use the options on the left side of the page to narrow things down. Most shoppers start by selecting the category of shoe that they need: the top 10 choices in the category list include Boots, Sneakers, Sandals and Casual Shoes, but if you click on "See Full List" you'll find much more specific options. We were impressed to see the variety of choices, ranging from sports like cycling and baseball to health-related choices like diabetic and orthotic. (There was also a category for "sexy"!)
After you've chosen the category, you can further refine your results using the filter options on the left side. This will help you see only the shoes that are in your desired size, color, price range, or brand. You can also see shoes with specific features you may need, such as being breathable, suitable for a wedding, or cushioned.
You'll probably find Shoes' prices to be the same as or lower than most other shoe retailers, and at the time of our review there was a promotion at the top of the page offering a 20% discount on all orders. You'll also love that Shoes offers free shipping on all orders, saving you extra money compared to the competition.
What if you don't love your shoes once they arrive? Shoes does have a decent return policy: exchange or return them within 60 days from the date you placed your order. (Shoes has a return period of 90 days during the holiday season of November 1 through January 1.) If you choose to exchange your shoes rather than return them for a credit, Shoes will pay for the return shipping costs; otherwise, expect to pay a $6.95 restocking fee per pair of shoes, which includes the prepaid return shipping label. Be aware that the shoes must be in new condition; some customers report having their returns sent back to them when the company determined that the shoes had been worn by the customer.
If you're looking for extra savings, consider joining the free ShoeFan rewards program, where every dollar you spend earns you a rewards point. For every $200 you spend, you get a $10 reward - and with shoes, that can add up quickly. You can earn additional points by posting reviews of the shoes you buy, connecting your Shoes account to your social media profiles, and referring other shoppers.
The only drawback to shopping for women's footwear at Shoes is the reputation of the customer service department. Shoes does have an A+ rating and accreditation with the Better Business Bureau, which generally means that the company does an appropriate job of responding to any customer complaints that arise. However, we think shoppers should be aware that there are numerous customers who have had issues with orders that came late or not at all and were difficult to track down. Also, we found more than one customer who said that the return process did not go smoothly, even when the error was Shoes' (e.g. wrong size was sent, customer received used shoes, etc.).
On the whole, Shoes offers an extraordinary variety of shoes, very competitive pricing, and customer-friendly benefits like free shipping on all orders and extended returns during the holiday shopping season. Just keep an eye on any issues that may arise and be proactive about working with Shoes' customer service department.
If the thought of a cute pair of Italian designer shoes makes you say "yes, please!" Franco Sarto should be one of your top online destinations for shopping. Named after the creator and designer himself, this line of shoes tends to be on the higher end: of design, style, and, yes, prices too. However, shoppers will probably find several options they can't refuse.
It should be said that if you're looking for every type of women's shoe, you will not find it at Franco Sarto; there are no running shoes, aqua socks, or plastic flip-flops. On the other hand, if you're looking for a trendy loafer in a hard-to-find size 4 ½, or an over-the-knee boot in an even harder-to-find size 13, you're going to be very excited by the selection Franco Sarto offers.
The website is easy to use: browse as you wish, or sort through your options by style, size, color, or heel height. You can further refine your results by clicking on the "Sort" arrow in the upper left-hand corner, which will give you the ability to see available shoes according to top sellers, price, arrival date, and more.
While prices are a little high at this retailer - the lowest price we found was a pair of sandals on clearance for just under $45, and the highest items were boots for $189 to $199. However, additional savings can be found in the form of free shipping and free returns. This shoe website provides customers the option to return unworn shoes, in the original packaging and box, within 60 days of purchase.
Although the shoe offerings are limited to beautiful boots, loafers, sandals, wedges and flats, we give Franco Sarto high marks for offering Italian style footwear at (relatively) affordable prices, especially in sizes that can often be difficult to find. If you are looking for shoes meeting the latest trends in style and quality, Franco Sarto is a good place to start.
Massey's has a Coldwater Creek, J.Jill kind of feel to it. First of all it is all women's footwear and accessories and their selection is relatively small. Their entire collection including all footwear styles; athletic, casual, dress, outdoor, boots, sandals and slippers, totals 1,547 pairs of shoes. They also sell accessories like handbags, hats, socks and gloves.
Massey's isn't a trendy site, but probably has it's own clientele that appreciate the simplicity of the products offered.
They accept all major credit cards, but they also have their own credit card, like a department store. The shoe prices are pretty comparable to the other sites, although there didn't seem to be much on sale. Shipping is not free when you order from Massey's. Depending on the merchandise total you add a set amount for shipping and processing. For example, if you order a pair of shoes that costs $55.00, then you add $9.95 to the total. Priority and express charges will be higher. They will accept returns provided the item is unused and is returned promptly upon receipt. Of course they do not pay for return shipping since they don't pay for the original shipping.
Overall, Massey's is not as customer oriented as some of the higher ranking shops. The selection was limited but unique.
Auditions is a relatively simple site, in that it is small and easy to maneuver, and they only offer women's shoes. They have about 700 different shoes to choose from, all falling into one of the following classes; Athletic, Casual, Dress, Dress Casual, Outdoor, Slipper, and what's on Sale.
Auditions does charge for shipping, unlike some of their competitors. It's not outrageous, but it might be a deal breaker for some shoppers. The shipping costs they list range from $5.95 to $14.95, depending on the price of the merchandise. They do want their customers to be completely satisfied, so if they aren't they can return anything unworn for a full refund.
One feature that is convenient about Auditions is the set filter. This is the box where you select your size, width, color and class of shoe. This feature is nice because it will hold the preferences plugged in,until you go to change it.
Auditions is somewhat professional, but not necessarily a sleek and polished site. We anticipate you'll find a more suitable and better priced product elsewhere.
This website is marketing to the younger more athletic crowd, by offering more variety and trendier lines of footwear. Mason offers shoes for both men and women. There are 147 styles of women's shoes to choose from, including a new category that we hadn't seen before - western. This is exactly what you would expect, boots.
Prices on Mason seem to be in line with all the others. Regarding shipping and processing all the same policies that apply to Massey's and Wissota Trader, apply here too. Their shipping rates are exactly the same, none of which are cheap. And like the previous two websites we reviewed, this one too offers a direct credit line. This might be a good option for some, but they also accept all major credit cards.
This site is professional and meets all the needs of some shoppers, but we still found this site a little lackluster. It could be because it pales in comparison in variety, but unless you are looking for shoes that only Mason Shoe carries, we don't know why anyone would pay shipping when other sites offer so much more for so much less.
The tag line for 6pm is "Shoes and Bags that click". This website boasts a large selection of shoes to choose from - but in reality, they had fewer choices than most of the other sites.
After starting our search for the right shoe we instantly noticed that the search results were bad. 6pm has 19 different women's shoe categories and several types of shoes within each class, which can make it easy to narrow down what you are looking for. These categories range from boots and bridal shoes to slippers and sneakers, and everything in between. However, if you ask for Men's athletic shoes you might receive a pink toddler shoe in your results. This is only one of examples of a lot of issues we had with this site.
Like much of their competition, 6pm also offers free UPS ground shipping and free returns. The merchandise must be returned within 60 days of purchase and must still have tags on and be in the original box. They will also pay for return shipping.6pm accepts all major credit cards, Paypal and Bill Me Later.
6pm frustrated us and wasted our time, we would definitely recommend a better functioning site that is ranked higher on our list.
Many "fashionistas" enjoy the sites and sounds of beating the pavement to find the perfect pair of shoes. Trying on hundreds of pairs of shoes in one given day is considered a well-deserved treat. While online shoe shopping doesn't provide that experience - the rest of us will celebrate!
It seems that more and more people are choosing to shoe shop online, as the Internet is quickly becoming the smartest place to shop. Beyond just plain convenience, online shoe shopping has many other perks. For example, if you are looking for just the right color, size, and fabric for a special occasion (like a wedding), scouring the metropolitan city may not only waste your time and energy but also create unnecessary stress.
You don't have to settle when you shop online, as the selection is endless. Also, a great number of people wear odd sizes - whether that includes very thin, wide or even large sizes. For many in that situation, going to the mall can be disappointing and produce zero results.
For those shopping online, however, your hardest decision will be which pair to choose.Surprisingly, the internet offers thousands of pairs of shoes to meet your individual needs, and often times with absolutely no risk. Shipping is free at many sites and returns are painless.
While searching for a quality online shoe store, certain aspects of a company should be taken into consideration. These include:
