10 Minute Trainer

TONY HORTON'S 10 MINUTE TRAINER

Cost:

$93 (includes shipping and handling)

One of the biggest reasons people say they don't exercise is because they don't have the time. Their busy schedule does not allow the 60-minute or longer workouts that some of the more "extreme" programs available. Tony Horton (who created a few of the "extreme" workouts such as P90x and P90x2) took away that excuse with his 10-minute trainer.

Workout program highlights:

  • Focus: 10 Minute videos
  • DVD's: 2 DVD's with 12 Workouts
  • Included: Resistance band, belt kit, workout calendar, recipes, on the go workout cards, online support and more.
  • Return Policy: 60 days
  • Level: Flexible with options to modify.

Tony combines upper body, lower body, abs, and cardio and he stacks them into every 10-minute routine. As you build your fitness level you can start combining the workouts to get a personalized program for your needs. Many users commented that the actual workout is 10 minutes, but there is a warm-up and cool-down which makes the DVD 12-14 minutes each. The program does suggest to use 3 of the workouts (30 min) for 6 days a week, but it allows so much flexibility for every user to adjust according to their needs and desires.

The package comes with 2 DVD's including the 10-minute workouts for Cardio, Total Body, Lower Body, Yoga, and Abs, as well as a resistance band, and a belt kit. Some other great bonus literature includes a Customized Workout Calendar, Rapid Results Guidebook, and Tony's 10-Minute Recipe Guide. Plus Tony's On-the-Go Workout Cards (which are great for traveling when you don't have access to your DVD's) and 2-Day Jump Start Plan. Currently there is an Anniversary bonus feature that offers 3 additional workouts, 24/7 online support, access to an instant streaming workout and an advanced calendar.

You can try this program with the confidence of a 60-Day Money-Back Guarantee. If you're not satisfied with your results within 60 days, simply call Customer Service to return the program for a full refund of the purchase price, less shipping and handling.

The flexibility, for those on the go,and reasonably priced package are the top reasons Tony Horton's 10-minute trainer received such a high rating from our review. If you're looking for flexibility with results, this is a great option.

Cost:

$140 - Base package (includes shipping and handling)

$275 - Deluxe package (includes shipping and handling)

$370 - Ultimate package (includes shipping and handling)

After the success and popularity of P90x, the fitness experts that created that program, spent 2 years of R&D to bring another intense, fitness program, based upon the same concept (muscle confusion), allowing an opportunity to take your results to another level.

Workout program highlights:

  • Focus: Muscle Confusion
  • DVD's: 13 DVD's with 12 Workouts
  • Included: Nutrition guide, fitness guide, workout calendar and more depending on package selected.
  • Return Policy: 30 days
  • Level: Challenging

P90x2 takes you to another level with a training technique developed by professional sports trainers for world-class results. You do not need to have completed P90x to begin P90x2, but it is recommended. The 90-day program offers 12 new workouts that focus on balance, agility, core strength and athleticism. There are 3 different phases, foundation, strength and performance.

P90X2 workouts are slightly shorter than P90X workouts. Plan on 45-60 minutes. The P90X2 yoga DVD is significantly shorter - about 65 minutes vs. the 90 minute Yoga X. The nutrition guide is all-new and is highly flexible.

There are three different packages to choose from. The Base package includes 13 DVD's (12 workouts and "How to bring it again"), a fitness guide, nutritional guide and workout calendar. The Deluxe package includes the Base package as well as 2 additional workouts, 1 foam roller, a stability ball and 2 medicine balls. The Ultimate package includes everything in the Base package as well as 2 more workouts, a RumbleRoller, a stability ball,2 medicine balls and Tony Horton's Powerstands.

You can returned unopened items within 30 days for a full refund.

P90x2 received a good rating because the workouts are shorter, therefore more reasonable to incorporate into your daily life. The workouts are still very intense and you must have a good foundation to begin. The pricing is very similar to P90x and higher than most other programs reviewed. If you are looking for a very intense workout, are willing to pay a higher price for it, P90x2 is a great option.

While video workout programs have been around for years, they've come a long way since the days of jumping women in funny leotards. • Cost. How is the cost of the program and what does that include? How many DVD's will be included and will additional equipment be required?
  • Return Policy. If you're not satisfied with your workout program, can you get your money back and how long do you have?
